By now you'd know that I'd come for you No one but you, yes I'd come for you But only if you told me to And I'd fight for you I'd lie, it's true Give my life for you You know I'd always come for youKyle’s skin was tight all over. His shit kickers made earthquakes as they pounded towards freedom; and the crowd, though thick tonight, parted when he came toward them. Finally he hit the door with a gasp of air. The shifter hadn’t been aware he was holding his breath, but the deep lungful soothed his burning chest. That profound sense of dread seemed to be eating him alive; a thousand mouths full of daggers taking bits and pieces of his soul. He felt as if time had stilled, and then reversed. As if his world was about to be ripped apart. Again. But why? Where was this premonition coming from? The thought of taking Lillie’s gentle hand as his wife, or the ghastly apparition of his kind female torn from his life; the life torn her her swollen belly? Was it destiny that his mate was always to be fated for unfortunate things? Kyle had to rub his chest the ache was so great. He hated leaving Lillie in there like that, but had he stayed, the situation might have worsened. They didn’t realize the immortal monster that lived behind the sharp stare and square jaw. The creature that acted on instinct, above all when it came to his female. And the unfamiliar assault of emotions raining down on the man didn’t help to tame the beast. The shifter realized that the Prophet’s brother was teasing him as males often do, but something was happening to the dragon. An awareness was becoming lucid. Great and unfortunate things were destined for him, as well. Abruptly Kyle realized he still clung to that bottle of Tequila, the bloated worm at the bottom seemingly egging him on like the Caterpillar from Wonderland. He tipped it up to his mouth, greedily drinking the amber liquid down like water until he could feel the fog in his mind thicken. Back against the cool brick building, Kyle closed his eyes and resumed rubbing the ache away. His body sensed her approach even before her unique aroma hit his nostrils. His skin tightened for a whole different reason. She moved toward him in slow motion, the moon light at her back surrounding her head like a halo. His angel. It took all the ancient shifter could do not to throw himself at her feet. Instead he took another swig from the liquor and swiped across his mouth with the back of his hand. Down boy. The last thing she needed as a slobbering dragon all over her. When she apologized for her brother, Kyle adamantly shook his head, taking a step forward to lay a tender palm against her cheek. “The fault lies not with your brother Lillie, but with your date.” He told her hoarsely; angry at himself for ruining their romantic outing. The shifter gently tilted her face up towards his, azure eyes caught on the ample lips parted just barely so that he could taste her sweet kiss on his tongue. “I am the one to blame. I fear that years of solitude have left my behavior lacking. I have no head for social gatherings.” A sigh escaped the dragon, and he pressed his smile against her smooth temple, so close to her ear so he could whisper. “Verily, I would much rather be alone with you. I know it is an offense to steal you away from your loved ones, but this is a sin I am not repentant of.” Kyle’s parted his mouth, moistening the suddenly parched lips with his tongue. He bent his face down a little closer to her lips, and he was grateful that she couldn’t see the look of desperation written across it. “Lillie…if I must bear one more moment without feeling the press of your lips against mine, you will hear my heart break as thunder across the heavens.”

Lillie visibly sagged against him in relief when he admitted to not wanting to kill her stupid brother. Oh thank God, she wasn’t going to have to break up the men from testosteroning themselves to death; that was a relief.
…Not that Pat actually had a chance, given the fact that Kyle was the King of All Things Manly and Sexy. But still, her brother would have tried his best and hurt himself, much to the bane of her other siblings’ existence. If there was one thing she knew about Pat, it was that he was the worst patient on the planet—
Dragging her mind back to reality when he spoke again, she just shook her head with wry amusement and nuzzled the side of his neck when he came near. His hot breath on her ear made her shiver, a pleasant tingle traveling up her spine. What was it about the man that made her so darn weak in the knees? It was as if he were her drug, and she was constantly needing a fix…or she’d be shaking with withdrawl. Which was exactly what she wanted to think about when the romantic evening was starting to kick up again; her going through withdrawl from her Kyle Drug. Gah, she needed to get out more.
When he admitted to wanting to be alone with her, she couldn’t help but smile again, a shot of possessive pleasure moving through her. Standing close to him, she let her casted arm slide around his shoulders as she rested her forehead against his, lips parting as she waited for that imminent kiss.
If there was one thing to be said about having a dragon shifter for a lover, it definitely had to be their…insatiable appetites. “You and your poetic words,” She murmured, sightless eyes half lidded and staring. “How could a girl say no to that?”
Letting her free hand settle on his chest, over his heart, she closed the distance between them before she could finish speaking. Instantly, she sighed, feeling as if something inside of her that had been left empty was suddenly filled. It was a strange, unfamiliar…glorious feeling that made muscles she hadn’t even known were tensed, begin to relax.
She was safe in the cradle of his arms; appreciated…loved? She knew that he felt something for her, given the tender way he held her and spoke to her, and for now, that was enough. Keeping her kisses soft, she ran her lips along his, then along the strong line of his jaw before he could catch her mouth.
“But that doesn’t stop me from wanting to whop you upside the head,” She murmured against his cheekbone, her thumb caressing his breastbone. “You, my handsome dragon, are perfect. You’re just…cranky that you’ve never gotten to Miss Wormy, and my brother is an idiot. Other than that, you are perfect. In every way.”
She didn’t know why that sudden surge of protectiveness practically washed over her. Nor did she understand why she felt the need for him to know that she saw no reason for him to apologize to her. It was as if an echo of some kind were urging her on…a memory, or a dream, of some far distant place. She tried to hang onto it, to examine it…but as quickly as it had come, it was gone.
In its place, she felt that strange feeling once again, like déjà vu had taken over. A look of confusion slid onto her face for a second, hidden from Kyle’s view as her cheek was pressed to his. With a little shake of her head, she did her best to ignore it, removing her lips from where they had been gently teasing the silken skin of his earlobe.
Reluctantly pulling back slightly, she turned to face the nightclub for a second, then straightened, an impish grin sliding onto her lips. “Steal me away, Kyle,” She said, sliding her hand into his. “I can call everyone later and apologize…but tonight’s ours. Fly me somewhere beautiful. Please?”

I was blindfolded, but now I'm seeing My mind was closing, now I'm believing I finally know just what it means to let someone in To see the side of me that no one does or ever will So if your ever lost and find yourself all alone I'd search forever just to bring you home, Here and now this I vowLillie teased him with her mouth, and it was enough to drive the dragon mad. A rumble resonated in his throat; their lips playing a game of cat and mouse, and so far, the mouse was winning. When her tone became more wistful than playful, Kyle caught her hand against his chest; those words of admiration making his heart pound even more intensely. It beat for her. Only for her. And for the human to think him a man of worth? It gave his spirit wings and he was soaring while firmly steeled to the ground. Kyle let out a sigh of disappointment when Lillie pulled away, even if only for a moment before sliding her hand into his and imploring him to steal her away. The wicked grin that spread across his face mirrored hers and the shifter squeezed the proffered hand, leaning in quickly to capture her mouth before she could begin that cat and mouse game once more. Growling possessive against her lips, Kyle snaked his arm around her waist and drew her against him, unconcerned about prying eyes or ears as he let the powerful leathery wings sprout forth from his back. The sensation of the appendage breaking through the human skin and muscle drew a sigh from the dragon’s throat, and he pulled back from the mouthy embrace to rest his forehead against Lillie’s. “I shall be a thief, then.” The dragon murmured huskily just before they rose, soaring towards the diamond stars and that velvety blanket of navy blue. It was hot and humid in the bayou town, but as they rose, the air became thinner, cooler. Verily, the sky surrounded them, enveloping them in iridescent starlight and darkness. “Hold on to me tightly.” He whispered against her ear and smiled at the sensation of her chocolate locks whipping his face like satiny kisses. His wings stretched out as they flew and it felt good. His body, all sinewy and coiled before, now felt liberated; as if the massive dragon that was hidden away inside the human frame was satisfied at least part of him was free. It was beautiful up there; surrounded by nothing but the clouds and so close to heaven you could smell the heady ambrosia. Or maybe that was just his Lillie; her aroma so potent an intoxicant he was spellbound, having to force his attention on their path lest they fall from the sky in rapture. And it seemed they would keep rising and rising, as the space around them grew more infinite, and became more black than navy blue. Kyle closed his eyes and willed the portal to part as they approached, and that black sky shimmered like the Northern Lights for a moment before they crossed the threshold into the Other Realm. The temperature was comfortable; a constant autumnal climate. The light of the two moons cast a dreamy blue-green over the terra firma, and a wispy breeze moved the grass as if it were a lush sea. Kyle’s boots touched the ground softly before a waterfall and a glassy, reflective lake. A sad smile quirked his lips as his glowing azure eyes fell on a family of pixies; their dragonfly-like wings sparkling as they glided over the tranquil surface. He wished Lillie could see it. “It compares nothing to your exquisiteness, but it will do.” Kyle murmured in her ear huskily, pressing a kiss there after. He kept his leathery wings around them, holding in the heat their pressing bodies had radiated. Would she shrink away from that part of him? The wholly different part?

((Ooooh the randomness. XD It just came out, I swear! -falls over- LOL ))
With a shiver of pure delight, Lillie leaned into her dragon’s embrace, a sigh on her lips as he leaned in to steal a kiss. She felt so safe around him; treasured, even. What did he see in her, to make him hold her so tenderly, she wondered. She knew exactly what she saw in him, and after that little apology of his before…well, she’d just have to keep reminding him that he was beautiful…in every way.
While making sure that his ego didn’t grow along with his belief, that is. She couldn’t help but snort at the image of the shifter strutting around with his chest puffed out. It’d be quite the image, given the absolute yumminess of his chest, but something told her that she wouldn’t have to worry about such things.
Sliding her arms securely around his neck, Lillie let loose her customary ‘ah gahd’ gasp as they took off, her body instinctively rebelling against the lack of earth under her feet. Of their own accord, her legs snaked around his waist so she could hold herself steady against him, while she let her head tilt back and greet the cool brushing wind. God, she wished she could see what he saw! She felt damp air against her cheek and knew that they were touching clouds. She remembered clouds, what they looked like in the normal dreams. Soft and fluffy, dark grey when ready to rain…with one arm still looped securely around his neck, she put her good hand out, wiggling her fingers through the dampness.
Kyle was officially the luckiest man on the planet, she thought with a laugh, smiling against the buffeting wind. He got to fly everywhere; to see the world in such a different light than everyone else on the ground. Even plane rides had nothing on this; how could the passengers feel the wind, taste a storm on their tongue, or practically feel starlight in their bones?
“This is AWESOME!” She laughed, bringing her mouth close to his ear. “Forget a car; I’ve got to get me a pair of wings!”
The air seemed to get colder as they continued to climb, and Lillie hugged Kyle tighter, burying her cold nose against the crook of his neck. Something seemed to…change; to bed and stretch around them, and she could feel a flash of something bright against her back. Confused, she opened her mouth to ask him what was going on, but as suddenly as the feeling came, it passed, bringing with it the warm feeling of spring.
When his feet touched the ground, she let her legs unwind from his waist and she slid awkwardly down his front. A shiver escaped her as the hard contours of his body pressed so intimately against her, but the smell of sweet grass and ghostly moonlight had her turning her face over her shoulder, as if she could see the land around them. Where had he taken them? Some far off park or nature reserve?
“You keep saying things like that, and I’ll start putting on airs,” She laughed, shaking her head.
Feeling safely wrapped in the softness of his wings, she rested her chin on his chest, tilting her face up. She could hear the light buzzing of wings on the wind, a giggle through swishing trees, and the soft tinkle of water hitting earth. Standing there, the closeness made possible by that inhuman part of him, she felt like they were in another world. Tentatively, she unwound her good arm from his neck and reached out to gently touch one folded wing. Was it time for another lesson in how Kyle Aodhagan was perfect? She thought it just might be.
“Soft…yet kind of scratchy. Beautiful…just like the rest of you.” Making sure that she had her distances right, she leaned sideways and place a kiss on the rigid bone surrounding his wing, then rested her cheek against his chest.
Then, as if realizing that they were indeed in some kind of natural setting, she pulled back slightly and toed off her shoes, grinning widely when she was able to smoosh her toes into the grass. “So, what magical place did you take us to?” She asked, resting her chin on his chest again. “Describe it to me? I know it’s not as pretty as me, but I’d still love to know…”
God, she just loved teasing her guy, she thought with an impish grin. There was just something about the fact that he seemed to smile and laugh only when around her, that made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The grin widened as she realized that, from the lack of engines roaring or the normal noises of any campers nearby, they were completely alone. What would happen if she pressed closer to him, and nibbled on that part of his neck that—
With a surprised hiss as a sharp burning hit her eyes, Lillie jerked back from him, knocking against the confines of his wings behind her. Her hand flew up to rub at her suddenly tearing eyes. “OW! What the heck…gah, something must have flown right into my eyeball. Jeeze, that really did hur—“
The burning returned, intensifying, and she jerked back again with a pained cry. As the wall of dragon wings seemed to disappear behind her, she stumbled a few steps away, alternating pressing the heel of her uncasted hand against each eye. Her head swam, she was dimly aware of Kyle’s voice calling her name, and she fell to her knees, whimpering and rubbing her eyes.
What was wrong with her? God, it hurt! It burned! What was going on? She was afraid and shaking her head, trying to force the sensation away. She opened her eyes, instinctively needing to blink the tears over the front of her eyeball…and froze. Swimming in the water of her tears, she saw something dark and…round? Shiny? What?
Confused and afraid, she squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head again. The burning was slowly receding into a dull ache, thank God, but she didn’t understand…what were those things? Hesitantly, she opened her eyes again and tilted her head down. Something weird looking was resting on her legs…no, fingers? Was that her hand? Slowly, she lifted the strange thing up to her face and told her fingers to wiggle. When the thing copied the movement, she stared, her jaw going slack.
She could see…God, she could see her hand! Those were her fingers!
Feeling a presence close to her, Lillie whipped around, a strangled laugh tearing itself from her lips as she saw- saw!- Kyle for the first time outside of her dreams. From underneath the filmy white that usually covered her irises, a light blue color began to emerge. She blinked back tears as she slowly raised a hand to his face, shock clearly written on hers.
“Oh my God…” She sobbed when her fingers touched the familiar angles of his cheek, his jaw. “Oh my God, Kyle. I can see you. I can see your face!”

By now you'd know that I'd come for you No one but you, yes I'd come for you But only if you told me to And I'd fight for you I'd lie, it's true Give my life for you You know I'd always come for you You know I'd always come for youKyle tried not to be consumed by the feel of Lillie’s lithe body pressed against him, or the way his bonding scent mixed with her natural perfume effectively made his head swirl with erotic images and memories. Instead he focused on the sound of awe in her voice; that very thing swelling him with so much pride his chest nearly burst from it. To please his female brought the shifter reflective serenity; it was as if those long, forsaken centuries had never existed. In her arms now, they weren’t even a memory. Lillie’s head came up from his pounding torso and Kyle watched a blameless curiosity take up residence on the human’s virtuous face. Azure eyes broad with his own curiosity, the dragon’s mouth fell open in a silent gasp when her feathery touch moved across his fibrous wing. Breath sawed out through partially opened lips and Kyle clenched his eyes closed when she laid a gentle kiss upon it. She cared for him. Every part of him. Kyle had no doubt that had he chosen full dragon form in order to bring her across to the Other Realm, the precious human would have wrapped her arms around his scaly neck and soared atop his back without hesitation or fear. When she returned to the cage of his arms and tucked her head into his chest, the shifter drew the winged appendages tighter around her. A shield in case there were prying eyes he could not see. He was far too distracted by the purr of his woman against him. The night around them played magical music. The gentle fall of the clear blue water was a song which the shifter’s body moved to; swaying as lightly as a gust of wind as he clung to her. Glowing night blooming flowers vibrated with raw energy, and other ethereal beasts came out in the open for a drink from the cool waters; the lake so tranquil and pure it seemed a cobalt platter holding two radiating silver orbs. “This is the Other Realm, somewhere in the Faery Veil.” Kyle answered amusedly, that familiar sense of humor making him smile from the inside out. He turned his body just slightly, releasing the female so that he could twist her in his arms; her back now pressed against his front. “Can you feel that cool, damp breeze?” Kyle used the hand unwound from her waist to move her hair off her shoulder, leaving a mouthy embrace against her warm skin. “That is a lake the color of sapphires, just beyond it, a navy blue cascade. If you hear a humming too close to your ear, do not be alarmed. It is only a family of dragonfly sized pixie.”He inhaled, letting her perfume tickle his nose and other parts of him twitch to life. The arm snaked around her hips drew her closer to him, pressing that wanton place against her rear. Once more she was twisted so that the curve of her breast bore down on his chest. This was better. He found himself ensnared in her lips again; impatient to taste them. Suddenly she jerked backwards, hand to her face as she broke the cage of his wings. Panic crossed the shifter’s face, his hand reaching out as her name howled from his lips. Damn pixies. Had one of them gotten too close? Perhaps her sensitive orbs were allergic to that sparkling fae dust. When the human went to her knees, the dragon followed suit, sinking down onto the lush green beneath him. Her pain was a very real thing in him too. It crushed his heart like a vice, tightening and tightening with each moment he could do nothing for her; each strangled whimper that escaped her part lips. “Lillie, please, tell me how can I help you!” Oh god, if he had caused this by bringing her here, he would never be able to forgive himself. When the female’s trembling seemed to cease, it was only then did the shifter take in a shaky gasp of air. Like a child wrapped up in his arms, the Prophet seemed to be amazed by her limbs and then the phalanges on her hand. His forehead creased in worry. What was happening? Had she had a waking vision? She must be in a daze from the trauma; as if waking from a dream. “I am here, Lillian.” Kyle told her in a soothing voice, bringing her against his chest as they sank all the way down to sit on the ground. “I have you and you are safe, and soon all will be right as the rain…”He continued to ease her with his voice, desperate to soothe her, but unaware how to. And then she turned her seraphic face toward him and a gasp was drawn from him when his azure gaze fell into that soft marine hue, and unbidden he was lost in the ocean of her eyes. He barely heard Lillie’s voice; a profound significance struck him as sure as if a comet had fallen from the sky and upon his shoulders. He had looked into those blue eyes before. They had looked into his. Her hands against his jaw and cheek brought him out of the reverie, and unable to stop himself, he brought his lips down urgently over hers; expressing his happiness in the way that he seemed to embrace her soul. When he pulled away, he was panting; the broad smile stretched over his face he was barley able to contain his bliss. “And I see you Lillie. For the first time I see you.” In that crystalline gaze he had seen all the years he’d spent with her, his wife. He saw the pain her death had caused, and the way it nearly killed him. He had been afraid to feel that again; that hurt. The ancient shifter had known he would not have been able to survive that another time. But he could not deny the emotion that gripped his chest now. It wouldn’t let him go, and he couldn’t let her go. His mate… He brought his rough hands up to her cheeks, gently leveling her reflective gaze with his. “And I love you, Lillie. I’ve loved you all along.” His eyes darted back and forth in hers, he wanted to kiss her again and again and again, but he refused to break that eye contact. Oh, he could look into them for an eternity.

Oh, how heavenly it had been to be held in his arms. Those few moments earlier, when he’d held onto her so tightly, as if she were a gem to be treasured, she’d felt a strange warmth travel through her. There were flutters in her belly, utter joy flying through her heart…and strangely enough, echoes of the scene- the whispering pixies, the smell of the grass, the feel of the oasis that Kyle had taken her to- were almost familiar to her. Had she seen it in a dream? Dreamt about some far off place that was as beautiful as a morning sunrise?
She’d leaned back into her dragon’s arms, resting her head against his shoulder as she fought to picture what he’d described. While she knew what most things looked like from her dreams, they were still foreign to her; unnatural, even. But with his arms around her, she was safe.
That is, until the world turned upside down.
With a sound that was a mixture of fear and utter happiness, Lillie met his lips with a bruising force, going as close to his front as she could. His words confused her, and that annoying voice Common Sense told her that she’d need to analyze it further, but she was too amazed at how bronze his skin was…how blue his eyes were. She hung onto his face like it was a lifeline, grasping his wrists almost frantically.
Was it the place? Was this ‘otherworld’ so magical that it could bring her sight back? It had been so long since she’d seen anything outside of her dreams. Turning her face against his palm, she closed her eyes, counted to ten, then opened them again. There was no darkness, no familiar nothingness that had hovered before her for so many years. There was something blue and shimmering over Kyle’s fingers…and his fingers! There were strange lines around the tips…were those the scars she’d traced while lying next to him at night?
“How is this happening?” She whispered, faint traces of panic lining her voice. Hesitantly, she pulled away from him and looked around, overwhelmed with the expanse of the landscape, the absolute blue of the darkened sky. She reached up, as if she could touch one cotton cloud, and leaned into him again. “Is it this place? God, Kyle…I can see. The doctors said it would be impossible after those surgeries didn’t work…how is this happening?”
She shook her head in wonderment, trying to decipher the colors and sights around her, but they were too much. Burrowing her face into the crook of his neck, she sought to hide from the world, favoring the darkness she’d grown so used to.
That is, until the warrior spoke again, and mentioned a certain word that made her heart stop beating.
Surprise was written clearly on her face as she slowly pulled back to look at him- look at him! Oh God!- light eyes locked on his own. Had he just said that he loved her? That he’d ALWAYS loved her? Any meaning other than the fact that he’d loved her since she’d first used his arm as a twirling post was beyond her, but something seemed to…twinge at the words nonetheless. What was this feeling of familiarity? It was almost as if she’d been here, in this very position, hearing those same words once upon a time.
…Oh heck, like any of that mattered now! She could see, AND the man of her dreams loved her! All doubts could go kick itself!
“I love you too, Kyle,” She said, a joyful smile replacing the look of nervousness on her face. “God…I love you so much. And before you turn my mind to go…you have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen.”

No matter what gets in my way As long as there's still life in me No matter what, remember you know I'll always come for you I'd crawl across this world for you Do anything you want me to No matter what, remember you know I'll always come for you You know I'll always come for you Kyle couldn’t fathom breaking the intense connection between their eyes; he was too lost in that crystalline gaze, haunted by powerful reminiscences that seemed to stop time as they played out within that linked stare. What magic was this? The shifter saw in those eyes memories of an era long ago, Lillie swelled with child and his hair long and he was dressed for battle in armor and a steel blade. He kissed his wife, rubbed her belly and then took a knee to embrace that swollen miracle. The dragon remembered how it felt to have to leave them, to go out into the hunt not knowing if you would return to them, but it was his duty. He was an honorable man and he did it to protect them, his wife and his little unborn miracle. The reverie was so strong, it made the present almost surreal. Lillie’s desperate touch woke him from the waking dream and he held her trembling hands, shaking his head at her inquiries. “I don’t know how it has happened, but verily, it is a blessing.” Kyle swept the soft russet locks that had fallen into the path of her gaze, laying a tender kiss on each of her eyelids. The words he spoke were truer than she realized. The ancient shifter thought to himself as he drew back to gaze into her face again. The realization that she truly -was- his wife, his mate incarnate, had been made lucid by merely glancing into those sky blue orbs and seeing her there despite the variation of her outward appearance. But deep inside, hadn’t he always known? Perhaps it was his aching soul that had led them back together, as if it was a thing of its own will. It could only have been her that had opened him up again, after years and years of chosen loneliness and emptiness. And she was the same as she had always been. Bold yet gentle. Kind yet resilient. Fiercely beautiful. His Lillie. His heart was pounding so ferociously in his chest he could barely hear himself think, let alone figure out how this extraordinary thing had happened. Was it truly made so by their presence in the Other Realm? Could it be the whole of the dominion or merely the fae glen so full of enchantment? “This territory is full of magic so potent it could very well be the place, and if that is so, I will build you a house here, on this very spot, so that you may never have to walk forth in darkness again.” And then she said those words. Those ostensibly simple words that spilled forth over her virtuous lips drew moisture from the delicate pink crooks of his sapphire eyes, and he expelled a sound as if he were being pierced through the heart. But the sound was not painful, it was reverent. The rapier of her affection penetrated the armored chest and finally chipped away the last piece that had been guarding his heart. At last, his soul was set free. He embraced her with feverish necessity; alternating vehement kisses across her lips and cheeks and eyelids. His hand ran up the gentle arch of her back, fingers counting the fragile tips of her spine. The other hand traced a path down her front, exploring the curve of her collar bone, and he bent down to leave a kiss there. It dropped to the gentle curve of her breast and unbidden, he wrapped his fingers around it, clutching it firmly before once again, lowering his mouth to leave a mouthy embrace over her taunt nipple. Seeking more, his hand dropped to clutch her hips, pulling her body into the arch of his before moving around to the front, where it rested reverently on her lower belly. He almost had his family back. The notion leveled the ancient shifter, and he let loose a gasp before glancing back up into her divine face. “If I could will myself to shift from your embrace I could show you a reflection that would belie your proclamation, for your eyes are more beautiful than the whole of this place and the heavens combined.” He smiled, and the moisture in his eyes augmented the glossy cobalt of his own gaze. “But verily I cannot seem to move from your arms, nor do I really want to.” He swallowed thickly, and shook his head as if the idea was an offense of the worst variety. “In truth, I am afraid. I don’t want this single moment to end. I do not want to wake from this dream and never again see the blue in your eyes or hear those words escape your lips. My home is in your arms, here, so will you stay here with me forever?” Kyle couldn’t bear to voice the real trepidation in his heart; that they would return to the human realm and her sight would fade and the dreamy truth of her love would vanish with the dawn. If she would only allow, he would do as he had proclaimed. Build a dwelling for them here in this enchanted dream world where he would love her and protect her and fill her belly again with new life.

Reverently, Lillie traced the strong outline of his jaw as he spoke. He truly was beautiful, she thought, wonder filling her eyes. She'd seen him in her dreams before in the past, but this...this was different, somehow. She felt as if some part of her, kept sleeping for all these years, had finally awoken. It was almost as if there were another part of herself looking through her eyes; another unknown part of her heart that had been waiting for this very moment.
Waiting for him. Had Kyle set her free? Had he given her back the world? Yet, despite the natural wonder around them, all she could see was his face.
The face of her husband. The father of their child. Her heart.
Lillie blinked as the thoughts slid through her mind. That was strange; she wasn't THAT much of a planner. Heck yeah, she loved the dragon with everything she had, but to start thinking of kids? Of marriage? Yet, despite the confusion, they all felt so RIGHT. She could almost feel his protective hand on her swollen belly, while their child lay sleeping inside. It felt like a vision, of sorts; a hint at what was to come.
And the embraced it with a smile. It was probably illegal to be this happy, but there she was.
She mae a soft sound in the back of her throat when she saw a shimmer in his eyes. Leaning forward, she kissed the moisture away. When he claimed her lips, she molded herself against him with a sigh, her hand cupping the back of his head. A breathy moan escaped her and she gasped at the feel of his tongue on her nipple. She arched her back, tilting her hips against his, instinctively rocking against the rigid feel of him beneath her. She was on fire, burning with a need only he could sate, and she wound her arm around his shoulder, as if to keep him grounded there.
With a loving murmur, she cupped his cheek and drew her thumb beneath his eyes, wiping the tears away. Her chest hurt when she heard the fear in his voice, and she quickly claimed his lips.
"There's nothing to be afraid of, my darling. Im not going to leave you; nothing's going to change." She rained gentle kisses over his jaw and cheeks, smoothing the rough stubble there. It was almost as if she could hear his fears, she thought absently, holding him as closely as she could. The offer of building a home with him had that feeling of familiarity returning again, as if they'd been down that very path before.
Nodding her head, she looked into his eyes, holding her face inches away, as if willing him to read her mind. "Wherever you go, Kyle Aodhagan, I go to. Where you are, is my home. I'll happily live here with you until the end of time...but, Kyle, what about the war? What about the witch and your son?"
She pressed her lips to his forehead before resting her own against it. Catching his hand, she instinctively rested it over her belly again, stroking his rough knuckles. "I know you, Kyle, and I know that you'd never forgive yourself if something happened to the world, and you weren't there to stop it. We have to go back, if only for long enough to kick that witch's patootie...but it changes nothing. I love you, and no matter where we are, sight or no sight, nothing will change that."
Squeezing his hand, she looked into his eyes with an almost ethereal intensity. "It's your and me forever, buster. You and me. I'm the prophet, remember? Nothing is going to happen to us; I'm never going to leave you again."
A frown pulled at her lips as the words rang in her head. Again? Where had those come from? Before the thoughts could take root, however, she released him to lay back on the grass, holding her arms out to him. It was like when she were painting; some unseen hand were guiding her away from those disturbing questions. There was only them, in this magical place. No reality, or doubt. Just them.
"Make love to me, Kyle." She said softly, eyes drinking in the sight of him. "Let me see you...all of you," ---
((Okay, so I figured that, if you want, we can fast forward through the smexy scene, to Kyle's place. Lillie's sight will pursist into the normal world, but it'll start to fade slightly. Buuut, we can introduce the shared dreams and/or memories now that everyone's too tired to walk! XDD If you no like, lemme know!))
