Coming to a total stop, her spine rigid at the superior, snide tone of voice she turned to look at the man in the tux and sneered. Air sucked through her teeth she flicked her hands at him, little sparks dancing from her fingertips like fireflies, fizzling and dying out after sailing only about seven inches from her hand.
"Careful pretty boy. I'd hate to have to flambe that uppity smirk off your face. And I think I can tell what kind of meeting this is. The kind that absorbed Granmama's life when she sat as Head Chair for the witches you arrogant little prick."
The Firebringer bloodline heir was more of a blaze where her grandmother had been a smoldering ember, a silent, restful volcano. But Elise was lava, hot and flowing and unrepentant, uncaring. They could all go to hell for all she cared.
But then there was a huge ass red guy talking and she looked at him, blinking slowly, unable to believe that someone like him could possibly stumble over his words. It brought a little smile to her lips as she looked him over. Not bad,....for a demon. She'd seen some butt ugly ones in her time.
Crossing her arms under her chest she leaned on one hip and flicked her hair back over her shoulder.
"For you big boy? Sure. Since you seem the only one with any manners...not to mention taste." she cast a dirty little look over towards Vincent as she spoke the last.
"Elise Suarez... last of the Firebringers, heir to the Chair for the Witches on this Council and the last person to give a damn about it. I don't do politics. I don't trust this Council after my Granmama had her sudden heart attack. She was healthy as a horse. And suddenly after a meeting here she died. So no...I want nothing to do with something that might have killed the one person on this world I gave a shit about."
Glancing over the others and taking them in, committing each face to memory she rolled one shoulder and shifted her weight. "As for how I got here? Some cloaked goons that have been trying to force me to take up where Granmama left off sucker punched me through a portal with their mind voodoo and when I get back I'm gonna make them all wish they'd never left the safety of their mother's wombs."
And to her, that was good enough. Turning on the toe of one tall boot she walked to the portal and looked back at Vincent raising her hand to flip him off, fire shooting up along that long slender digit as she stepped back through and disappeared from the hall.
