Let’s spend the night together I know you want it too The magic of the moment Is what I've got for you The heartbeat of this night Is made to lose control And there is something in your eyes That's longing for some more Let us find together The beat were looking for
Getting his ass kicked for a kiss from the commander, yeah it seemed like a fair trade. She was always so big on the rules, especially the one of no hanky-panky between the team members. John had no doubt in his mind that the woman would be like a hurricane if only she’d loosen up about it.
He kept pushing hoping she’d do just that, but her way of loosing up seemed to be kicking his ass and getting royally pissed.
There was one thing she never seemed to get, he loved this work – go figure. Fighting monsters was one of the only things that made him feel alive those days and this unit was the closest thing of a family for him nowadays. And he would give it all up to be with her, but it never seemed to get into that thick rule oriented skull of hers.
Sure he wasn’t the best with words and all, but when did facing certain ass whooping for only a kiss stopped being romantic as hell? Did no one ever explained to her about romance? Yeah…he was Don Juan’s crazed cousin.
Pushing himself up and struggling hard to ignore the bursting pain in his stomach, John rolled his eyes. Women huh?
With a smile, he glanced at the others. “Yeah, she wants me. All that fury, smoking sexy.”
No, she didn’t beat him in the head, he did found it sexy. The psych bitch would call it to be due to his self-destructive behavior…to the hell with that bitch.
And to the hell with common sense that was telling him to go to the infirmary and stay away from the commander before she beat him up again. While the others were distracted with their training, he slipped into the woman’s locker room.
“You know commander, you punch like a girl.”
There was this pissed look on her face, ready to tell him to get out of there and beat the crap out of him.
“Come on Kat, like you didn’t know I was an ass already! Dammit woman, do you think I come on to you because I like to get shot down? Almost nothing in this world makes sense to me, it all could go down in flames for all I care. All this fighting the big baddies is fun for a while, but sometimes I wonder why the hell I bother. If it isn’t the wraiths tomorrow it will be some ten thousand years old demon in the next…ow crap, that hurts!”
Seating down in the bench near the lockers, he held on to his side and then continued.
“But that moment when I kissed you, it all make sense. That was why I fight and why I give a damn. Because not much things made sense in my life or felt more right than when I was kissing you. And that, it was well worth getting beaten down and I’d do it all again. So if you want to kick me out of this place, you can go ahead.”

When they see us they will run for their lives To the end they will pay for their lies So long did we wait, now we are home Here once again there's a battle to fight Gather together for the sound and the might So long did we wait, now we are home
Well, hell.
He went there expecting some combat training and was that when all the mayhem broke lose between the commander and the explosions expert. That guy seriously had a few screws missing in his brain, but Ezekiel could admire his audacity. Not that he believed the guy would live long once the commander unleashed her fury on him.
It was damned strange to see that sort of mayhem and violence break down without him having a hand in it.
The beat down was entertaining to watch at least, and he was starting to see why this team was considered to be a team of badasses. They had to be if they would be fighting the kind of enemies they were supposed to be.
Wraiths.
He couldn’t still quite wrap his mind about that idea. When he had been drafted into this he was expecting to be fighting terrorists or something like that. But when the things they fought were rumored to be far worse than a whole terrorist squad and able to level a city block with a thought he understood why they needed a bastard like him.
As suddenly as the beating started, it had ended. The commander left for the locker room and Sheppard was left alone to lick his wounds and people were starting to get down to business. Curse and Kalii seemed to had already chosen each other as sparring partners, not a big surprise there by the way one seemed to be ogling the other in the briefing room.
So that left the blonde girl called mouse and the Jasper guy. Great, he got skinny ones, hopefully they would be able to put up a challenge. Cracking his knuckles he eyed the pair.
“So, who is up for a go?”

Now that that don't kill me Can only make me stronger I need you to hurry up now 'cause I can't wait much longer I know I got to be right now 'cause I can't get much wronger Well, there was one crisis averted...at least for the most part. Thankfully Foster backed off, leaving a bruised, but thankfully alive, Sheppard in her wake. Though her temper definitely wasn't doing much better. She barked off a few comments about them getting started, and then marched off quickly. Jasper was kind of glad to see her go, if only for the brief mental peace. Her emotions were tumultuous, and trying to continually block them out was actually making him a bit nauseous. At least with her out of the room, his mind was quiet, albeit slightly disturbed at the events. Stone took the initiative, thankfully, to break the silence by proposing a sparring match. Jasper could tell from the his expression though that he wasn't expecting much from Mouse and him; they didn't exactly look like much to the naked eye. But a fight would be a blessing right now. He needed the distraction that the physical exertion would bring. The strain of muscles, the quick whit, the ache of blows...it would keep his mind preoccupied, in a good way. Cracking his knuckles, Jasper grinned sardonically . "Hell, I'm down," he quipped. The challenge was evident in his tone. The muscle man in front of him was bound to present a good challenge, and that was all that Jasper could ask for.

A couple of sounds that I really like Are the sounds of a switchblade and a motorbike I'm a juvenile product of the working class Whose best friend floats from the bottom of a glass
Don't give us none of your aggravation We had it with your discipline Saturday night's alright for fighting Get a little action in
Mmmhmm. Just the reaction she wanted, Kali thought to herself.
Kalii slid her eyes over and gave the handsome man a sideways look, raising her eyebrows and peering at him for a moment. The events of the training session so far were enlightening and the smirk on her face seemed to be permanently mounted.
Raising her hands in the air she stretched her body to it's full length to work some kinks out, making sure her hips swayed just so. She was well aware of what Lt. Jordan had his eyes on at the moment. It just added to the adrenaline already flowing and she liked it. Kalii was starting to get a feel for Curse and his cocky attitude and his comment wasn't surprising to her.
"As long as its a gorgeous thing like yourself handing it to me... I'm good. If you were wearing a high heeled boots and a black lace teddy, I'd have died and gone to heaven. Theres just something about a woman who is in touch with her dominate side that makes me hot."
Turning to comment back she caught the rest of the Kat and John show just as Curse's attention turn to that as well. When Curse gave her a look, she was pretty sure they were both thinking the same thing and she gave him a little shrug.
Sheppard was a bit crazy, but hey, you couldn't blame a guy for going after what he wanted could you? As far as the Commander went though, it was obvious she was holding something back. There was NO WAY she would have that reaction without there being something more behind it. Kalii was sure she had her reasons, but somehow that woman needed to work them out and let loose. Life was too short to keep such a tight leash on yourself.
Kalii sighed as Owens attempted to diffuse the situation. Watching as Kat stormed off to the locker room. Damn, but she was wound tight. Shaking her head as Curse spoke to her. Chuckling a bit because really, she had to agree with him.
"He is a crazy son of a bitch. Got to admire his determination though. I vote for the second option, not that I want to see the deed being done, but damn. I think they both need to get rid of that pent up energy and we do enough killin'. I think a little release of a different kind is just what the Commander needs."
Kalii took a deep breath and smirked when Curse shouted out at Lt. Sheppard. Basically telling the man to get off the mats and go cool off. Then Lt. Jordan turned his attention back to her again.
"After you, sweetheart!"
Smiling at him she nodded and headed to the mats in the far corner. Looking over her shoulder to make sure he was following her. When she got to the mats she stopped and bent over at the waist. Placing her hands flat on the ground, holding the position for a moment to stretch out a bit.
Turning around she eyed Curse as he made his way onto the mats with her. She continued to do a few more stretches and warm ups as she watched him. A mischievous grin creased her lips before she spoke.
"You know, those high heeled boots you mentioned earlier. That could be arranged."
Giving him a wink she moved to the middle of the mats. Pausing for a moment she raised both arms up with her palms out flat. Flexing her fingers at him indicating a 'come on' gesture. She licked her lips quickly and took another deep breath. Then, slowly she started to move around the mat in a circle, her eyes glued on him. Watching for movement, preparing herself for what was to come. Another wicked grin and she couldn't help the words that slipped from her lips.
"Bring it, Cowboy."

I feel you, washing over meI touch you, like broken glass under my feet Carefully, taking hold of my heart Slowly, tearing it apart....tearing it apart With these tears i cry Lord knows i tried Now how can i let go When you dwell in the shadows of my heart
Sometimes her life just really freaking sucked.
As Kat stormed into the women's locker room, she tore off her sweaty tank top and tossed it on the bench. Her tennis shoes soon followed along with her short and socks. When they were all crumbled in a pile, she turned to her locker and yanked open the door. For a long moment, she simply stared unseeingly into its depths and brooded.
Son of a bitch. She'd really truly lost it out there, hadn't she?
Normally, she tried to let Sheppards remarks roll off her back like water on a duck but it was getting harder and harder to ignore whatever was dancing between them. The cat and mouse game wore on her nerves and it was no longer about if she broke but when and how bad.
It, quiet frankly, was scaring the living hell out of her.
Sighing, the slender red head was just reaching into her locker for her shampoo and shower gel when the sounds of someone entering the quarters rang out. With her things in hand, she picked up her towel and was just heading for the shower when the object of her brooding came into sight.
What the hell??
Damn, it was a good thing she wasn't that modest or she'd be having conniption fits about now. What on EARTH did he think he was doing in here?
"In case you've suddenly forgotten how to read, Lt. This is the LADIES locker room... not the mens." she said coolly, ignoring his first shot.
In typical John fashion, he continued on without giving her the chance to order him out. His words made her want to scream all over again but a sense of resignation was creeping up too. If there was anything that Kat valued besides bravery, it was honesty and his voice rang with it. Kat also knew she couldn't deny that she too felt something between them.
Damn, they were both screwed in the head.... Wanting something they knew they couldn't have. It was enough to make a sane person mad.. Much less a part already three fourths of the way there.
"There is no hope for it, John." she finally said softly. "I can't take the risk of what might happen if I ever let things go that far and its not good for the team either. When people get emotionally attached like that.... Things happen on missions and it can cause issues. Even if we didn't have so many obstacles between us.. there would still be that to consider..... Hell, we both know that each mission we do could be our last...Either one of us could end up dead tomorrow or next week..."
Reaching up, Kat rubbed her temple and then shook her long red hair out of its ponytail.
"I'm not going to lie to you.... If you weren't human or I was... Things would probably be different. God knows fighting this thing between us is killing me but I don't want your blood on my hands. Can you imagine how I would feel if I accidently killed you in the heat of passion? If the roles were reversed..Would you take the chance?"
Unable to say anymore, she took a few steps back and glanced into the shower room.
"I'm going to shower and try to get a grip.... I'm sorry I hurt you.....The fact that I did... Well, that says it all doesn't it?"
Not knowing what else to say, she turned and practically ran down the short hall to the shower room. Once there, she finished undressing and flipped the nozzles on until the water coming out was hot enough to steam.
Stepping underneath the flow, she let the cascade flow over her face and thought about John still sitting out there on the bench. For the first time in years, she felt tears form in her eyes and blend with the rainfall from the spray. Hoarse sobs racked her body as she released the pent up emotions.
What she wouldn't give to be able to be normal. To take a lover without worry that she might kill him. Because of her duel nature, she truly didn't know what might actually happen but she suspected that, like a true vampire, the effects of that sort of desire would heighten her need to feed. She'd only taken other vampires for lovers in the past because she'd known that she couldn't truly harm them... Even then.. there had only been one.
Oh YEAH. It truly sucked to be her at times.

In every corner of my memory There's no place you wouldn't be lf anything, I wish I had Another dream with you Life was forever yesterday Nothing in the world could take Your love away, will I ever know That time will ease the pain For me someday
Damn she was hot – and he’d better remember that she would smack him senseless if he tried to kiss her again –
But as soon as she started to speak he knew what would come out of those sexy lips. And it was all the things he didn’t want to hear. Hell, he was willing to take the chance. For him it was better than the chance of dying without going after what he desired, and he knew very well that she was the one he desired, all those other women were just distractions.
If he was supposed to live, he would do so without holding anything back, like there was no tomorrow. Live every day like it was your last and eventually he would be right.
So if she had given him the chance to reply when she asked if he’d take the chance if the roles were reversed, his answer would be hell yeah!
But all he was able to do was stand there holding to his sides for a long moment after she took off. For the first time in God knows how long, John Sheppard was without words, no witty comment, no smartass remark.
So pulling himself up – ignore the pain you pansy – he took a wing of his fist against one of the lockers, his hand got it as bad as the now dented locker door but all he felt like was going back to his bunk and get that bottle of boom-boom he had stashed and drunk himself senseless.
Better than any pain killer, for body and mind.

So here we are It's hour one And it's a nightmare There's nothing left And yet it's good to be alive There's no use crying Cause the universe is not fair The wicked and the innocent Are fighting to survive
The one they called Jazz – all those freaking callsigns! – seemed ready for a little sparing. The guy was either really brave or really stupid. Anyway the guy didn’t look like much and Zeke raised a brow, this wasn’t the kind of unit someone would get for being stupid.
It was the kind of unit one gets send to after going psycho and killing a lot of innocent people apparently. It did not make him feel very safe when the government took psychos like him from prison to put them in charge of a bird that could level a city block. They had that nasty bomb on his hear that they could detonate with the press of a button, but still…
Ah to the hell with that for now, he had some punk ass kid to beat down, didn’t he?
So pulling his arms behind his back he took a moment to stretch, he hadn’t had much chance to get any action in a while so he wanted to get it right. That is, if the kid could live past one punch.
Zeke had some extensive military training, and it wasn’t just in piloting choppers. He could take down a room filled with terrorists in t minus ten with his bare hands. One of his instructors back at the unit had said his punch felt like being hit straight on by a speeding mack truck. That was just babble to hurt like hell, but after they messed with his DNA, who knew what he could do now?
Stepping into the mat, he eyed the guy up and down and raised a brow. “No man, you’re not down yet, but I will fix that in a second.”
Then without a warning, he let a swift spinning kick rip through the air straight in the guys chin. That had to hurt.
Zeke would see what this guy was capable off, if he hadn’t killed him already.

Yeah My durango number 95 Take me to the home Kick boots And ultra live See heaven flash A horrorshow Knock it nice And smooth Step back and Watch it flow yeah Never gonna stop me Never gonna stop Never gonna stop me Never gonna stop "Heaven hath no fury like a pissed off redhead pulling rank on ones ass," Curse thought to himself as the commander issued her snarling orders and then retreated through the gym doors.
As the barrier fell to the ground and its inner glass shattered, the sandy haired shoulder gave a sharp whistle and shook his head. Sheppard had guts trying to get that one in the sack. He'd bet his last dollar it would be worth it in the long run if they didn't kill each other first, though. He had to hand it to his comrade.. He knew how to pick em.
Shaking his head and grinning wickedly, Curse turned his attention back to the new girl and walked forward on the mats. Having been briefed on her supernatural capabilities, the man was pretty sure she'd take him to the mats a few times but he just happened to have some tricks up his sleeve too. What most people didn't know is that he, himself, had a bit of superpowers too. Just enough to make things interesting when it came to hand to hand combat.
Giving his new partner a smirk, he took up a nonchalant postion and relaxed his knees. Crossing his arms over his chest, he tilted his head and watched her.
"You think so, huh? To damned bad your off limits or I might take you up on that offer. Nothing sexier than a woman who knows how to kick a little ass."
Her return comment had him arching a brow and looking a the Mouse.
"Did she just call me a cowboy? I know she just didn't call me a cowboy.... Last person who did that got a taste of my six gun... Oh wait.... that was a woman too and a different kind of showdown..." he remarked in his regular smart assed manner. "Damn.... To bad...and just for the record... My mama taught me never to start a fight... so..... guess you'll just have to take the first swing."

Cowboy With the top let back and the sunshine shining Cowboy Spend all my time at Hollywood and Vine Cowboy Ridin at night cause I sleep all day Cowboy Kalii sighed and rolled her eyes as Curse brought up the fact that she was 'off limits'. They way Sheppard was aggressively pursuing the Commander, it seemed rather odd that the run of the mill grunts would actually be off limits to each other. That coupled with the blatant flirting that was obviously going on was enough to drive a woman insane. She shook her head and pushed the thoughts out of her mind for the moment.
Kalii smirked when he made his comments about being called a cowboy. It didn't phase her. She knew his type and it didn't bother her. They could even have a little fun if he wasn't so rigid about that 'off limits' thing. Well... whatever was going to happen would happen. Rules were made to be broken and if Lt. Sheppard ever got through to Commander Foster, then all bets were off on that rule. Now it was time to get down to business.
Keeping her eyes on him, she kept her feet moving. He wanted her to make the first move. Grinning at him as she continued to circle.
"Oh... I'm sure you've started your share of fights sweetheart. A few too many at the local dive bar and I'll bet you've launched into some brawls in your time. But... Alright. I'll make the first move."
Kalii sank into a bit of a crouch, balled up her fists and kept moving. Sizing him up, developing a quick strategy. She knew that he had something up his sleeve. He wouldn't be here if he couldn't hang tough.
Thinking she would start out with some basics. Nothing to fancy at first. Something just to get a feel for his style and technique. She gave a quick wink and a smirk before she made a quick move. Feinting to the left then quickly moving to the right she made a quick jab toward his midsection. Then she twisted around to the left again. Spinning on her left foot as she brought her right leg up in a huge round house kick aimed for his hip. Hoping to get him off balance at least and then she could press her attack.

I like it when you're watching me you grind your teeth I like it when we're up against the wall I like it when you look at me you still say please and the way you can't say no
Curse wasn't really surprised when she took him at face value and went on attack. In fact, he'd have bee surprised if she hadn't. Watching her movements, he blocked her punch and the twisted to catch her kick with lightening speed. The flare of her eyes had him grinning like a fool.
"Come on now, darlin! Surely you can do better than that? My nanny can throw a harder blow than that!" he teased, drawling the words out. "No need to take it easy on me... I assure you, I can handle anything you dish out."
Knowing that comment was probably going to get him clocked, the soldier shoved her foot away in time to whirl around and aim a kick for the back of her own knees. He really didn't expect to catch anything but air but a dude never knew.
"and as far as fights? Your right.. this aint my first rodeo, sweetheart, but my mama taught me never to hit a woman. At least.. Not unless she's hit first and has something to back it up besides a tube of lipstick.... Not that I'm saying you don't, you understand.... Its just a matter of manners. My daddy would have my hid if I didn't at least let you get the first blow in."

Kalii wasn't surprised that her blows didn't land, she knew that he was a skilled fighter. The first strikes were kind of a testing phase. Seeing how he moved to counter.
So, the fact that she didn't actually make contact give her a little bit of a read on him. But that didn't mean she was happy about it. She growled slightly when he grabbed hold her foot and pushed her out of the way. The force caused her to stumble forward slightly but she recovered so quickly it was barely noticeable.
She could hear his voice, talking it up as he swung out with his foot. Leaping up into the air she avoided the sweeping kick meant to knock her off her feet. Twisting in mid-air she landed gracefully on the mat, facing her opponent.
Shaking her head and rolling her eyes a bit as he continued to talk. She gave a little smirk as she spoke and launched into her next move at the same time. "Boy... You sure are a chatty one aren't you? Not that I mind in the least. I like a man who can carry on a conversation." While she spoke, she lashed out. This time she turned up the heat a little bit. Using a little of her preternatural speed she launched herself at him. Drawing her arm up, she aimed an elbow jab straight at his stomach. Then she returned the favor of his previous move and ducked down to the ground while she swung her legs around to try and sweep his legs out from under him.
Kalii couldn't help but grin at Curse as they traded moves back and forth. This seemed like it was going to be fun.

Curse had to give it to the new girl. She had moves and then she had MOVES. Even as his green eyes took in her sweet form, his mind was working over time on evaluation. The power behind the blows she landed in his direction left him on his toes and completely certain that she could handle her own business in a fight. When it came down to an actual battle, none of the guys would have to worry about her or watch her back to make sure she didn't get hurt.
Hell, he'd probably be asking her to watch HIS.
Just then, her words brought him back to the current moment and he cracked a smirk at her. So she HAD noticed his witty rejoinders. All was well in the land of Jordan.
"I aim to please, ma'am. Never let it be said I leave a lady disappointed!" he drawled out with a smirk as more blows came at him and he exchanged blocks.
For the next half an hour or so, they danced around each other and exchanged punchs. Curse was careful to keep his guard up until he saw John leave the locker rooms and let himself become distracted for the briefest second. Before he knew it, a leg swept out and he landed hard on his ass.
"Son of a Batch of Cookies!" he swore as he laid on the mats and glared up at the woman good naturedly. Arching a brow, he pushed himself up on his elbows and shook his blond head. "Damn... Guess I had that one coming. Lesson number one... NEVER GET DISTRACTED!"
Then, jumping to his feet, he eye Kalii and smirked.
"Well, I think thats enough practice for the day. I think I'll go sympathize with Sheppard on getting our asses kicked by girls and share that bottle of whiskey he's no doubt got hidden somewhere!"

After a little while there became almost a rhythmic way to how they moved. Trading blows back and forth. Kicks and punches thrown. It was like an intricately choreographed dance that they were doing. Except for the pounding sounds of the blows landing and the occasional thudding sound when one of them dropped to the mat.
Kalii grinned, she was enjoying the battle. It was like therapy, a good sparring session against a worth opponent and lieutenant Jordan was more than worthy.
"I aim to please, ma'am. Never let it be said I leave a lady disappointed!"
She let out a little chuckle as he kept up a bit of chatter as they went round and round. Everything was going well until she noticed his eyes cut away for a split second and she took full advantage of it. With a sweep of her legs she under cut him and he went down on the mat.
"Son of a Batch of Cookies!"
"Damn... Guess I had that one coming. Lesson number one... NEVER GET DISTRACTED!"
Leaning over him for a moment she just grinned at him, then stepped back. She watched as he quickly got to his feet. Taking a deep breath she stretched a little and let her body relax.
"Well, I think thats enough practice for the day. I think I'll go sympathize with Sheppard on getting our asses kicked by girls and share that bottle of whiskey he's no doubt got hidden somewhere!"
Kalii turned her head and saw Sheppard heading out of the gym. Then she turned back to Curse and gave him a look, arching a brow at him. A smirk breaking across her face.
"Oh... I see how it is. You two get to drown your sorrows, while I get left high and dry. I would think that I at least rated a drink after all that."
Shaking her head she let out a little chuckle and then gave him a playful wink. She could definitely use a drink herself, but she wasn't going to press the issue. It wasn't in her nature to force her company on anyone. That didn't mean she wasn't thinking that she wouldn't mind spending a little more time with Curse Jordan if the opportunity arose.
