Face Claim: Jared Leto
Abilities: Jasper has no idea where the ability came from, but both him, and his twin-sister Cassandra, have always been psychic. They both share a somewhat telepathic bond between each other, and well as other psychic abilities.
Jasper's abilities, that he's aware of, include prophetic dreams/visions and empathy. However, because of the negative feelings he's harbored toward his abilities, he's never fostered much control over them. So in general, they manifest randomly.
His prophetic ability most commonly comes in the form of dreams and intuitive gut-feelings. When he was a child, he used to have full-on visions at times, but because he's neglected his ability, the visions slowly disappeared and became more subconscious.
His empathy is another story entirely. He's tried to ignore it and bury it, but it has the tendency to be a stubbornly active power. It basically allows him to sense the emotions of those around him, and if he gets too riled up, he can reverse the connection and often influence the emotions of those around him with his own emotions.
For the most part, Jasper keeps his abilities a secret, and tries like hell to keep them under control.
Personality: For the most part, Jasper is a very down to earth, empathic person. He's like that big brother person who's always looking out for everyone, there to be that shoulder that you cry on or that one person that you can rely on. That kind of loyal, protective disposition is what eventually led him to the military.
Always the one to stand up for the underdog, Jasper entered the military trying to fulfill some internal sense of bravado and purpose. He's the kind of guy that always tries to be the joker, or that ray of sunshine that brightens the room. And yet, half the time it's a ploy to keep himself from feeling down and depressed. Though he tries not to, he has a low image of himself, and his worth. Though he vehemently denies he's anything but a normal, everyday guy, part of him thinks of himself as a freak of nature because of his psychic abilities.

Bio: Despite what Jasper might insist, he had anything but a normal childhood.
From the beginning, he was always different. Both him, and his twin sister Cassandra, were born with a set of abilities in stark contrast to the normal. It started with a bond that Jasper ad was Cass, a bond that allowed them both to know what the other was thinking without saying a word. Jasper and Cass could be in completely different rooms, and yet they always knew what the other was thinking, was saying.
This innate psychic ability soon began to escalate as both he and Cass grew, expanding into something else. Jasper began to see things, both in sleeping and in waking, things that hadn't come to pass yet. And then there were times he could sense things, feelings. His parents used to tell both him and his sister that they were just imagining things, that none of it was real. But Jasper knew better.
When he was 7 years old, everything changed. Jasper had been lying in the grass, daydreaming, when the vision came to him. This vision wasn't like the others; it wasn't peaceful or happy, and it didn't feeling comforting. Instead, there was an almost terrifying feel to it, and it dark...gritty. His father was arguing with someone...a man Jasper didn't recognize. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but he could feel the anger rolling off them in waves, the madness that gripped the air. It felt like a poison that was eating away at him, destroying everything. And then the rage crescendoed, and the vision erupted into violence. Jasper watched, in horror, as the man murdered his father, leaving him lying in a pool of his own blood.
He woke up from the vision crying, and terrified. He'd never seen anything like that before, anything so dark and terrible. And he tried to tell his parents about what he'd seen, tried to warn his father about it, but like always, his parents simply chalked it up to an overactive imagination, and ignored him.
Less than a week later, his father was dead. The police later told his mother that it had been a business deal gone bad, that a contractor associated with their father had been on the brink of bankruptcy and had snapped when their father had tried to negate on a deal. But it still didn't change the fact that Jasper had seen it happen with his very eyes, long before it had come to pass.
After that, Jasper's mother never looked at him the same way. He could see with every glance, the fear she held toward, the contempt. And more than seeing it, he could feel it. His mother finally acknowledged his ability, but because of the tragic circumstances, thought of it as more of a curse. His mother thought similarly of Jasper sister, but the worst emotions were always reserved for Jasper, because he'd been the one to see it to know.
And of course, his father's death changed everything for Jasper. He grew to resent his psychic abilities, to hate them. He was a freak of nature, an abhorrence that shouldn't exist. Seeing what he'd seen at that age had scarred him.
Growing up after that, Jasper did everything he could to be normal, to forget the things that made him different. While his sister continued to embrace her abilities, he rejected his, denied that they even existed. And soon, after a while, they started to fade, grow weaker. They never completely disappeared, but they were manageable, and barely noticeable.
Through all this, he had only one friend that knew the truth; Savannah Stephens. They'd grown up together, as next door neighbors, and she'd always known about Jasper and his abilities. It was her guidance that had helped him through his father's death, and had comforted him in his darkest times. The two of them grew close, at times even closer than Jasper and Cass. As Cass had embraced her abilities, and Jasper the opposite, a rift formed between the two of them, and Savannah had filled that vacant position, bringing Jasper closer to normalcy.
When they were twelve, Savannah shared a secret with Jasper. There was something different about her too, something that made her different. Jasper accepted it, because of their friendship, but he didn't try to understand it. It was just another chink in the picture perfect world he had tried to build for himself, another connection to a part of him he didn't want to remember. Thankfully Savannah acknowledged this, and didn't press it around him. But to Jasper, it changed things a little bit.
Though Jasper maintained a close friendship with Savannah, after they graduated high school, they parted for a whole. While Savannah went off to LSU for college, Jasper, in an attempt to purge himself in some ways, went off and joined the Marines.
He made a valid career for himself, immersing himself in the military lifestyle. The violence kept his mind occupied, and grittiness of humanity fueled his drive for normalcy. His abilities were still there, in the background, that the fighting distracted him from them, made him forget. Through his dedication, Jasper quickly rose through the ranks, and eventually became a Navy Seal. He was the elite of the elite, a soldier in the truest meaning of the word.
And yet, through everything, Jasper had kept in touch with Savannah, and stayed close with her. She made him miss being in New Orleans, miss being a normal civilian. He was happy with his military career, and yet it felt like something was missing.
Then, out of the blue, an opportunity presented itself to Jasper. It was unique, and had the potential to change everything...
