But he is actually a nice enough guy and his heart is in the right place, even that sometimes his ego gets on the way and gives people the wrong impression, as a purely arrogant and egoistical person.
In fact he appreciates greatly his fame, fortune and the status that revolves around it. Addicted to risks and challenges, he will be hardly found seating still.
However Max possesses a strong hero complex and will always try to do the right thing, and it can be a strength as much as a weakness sometimes.

Bio: Born into a multi-billionaire family, Max always had everything handled to him in a silver platter. Growing up he was always eager for challenges, nothing was ever challenging enough, hard enough or even dangerous enough for him. This gave him fame as a rebel and charismatic rich man, who would even appear as one of the top ten eligible single men in the country.
His life however took an unexpected twist the first time he encountered the supernatural, it was in the form of a demon that possessed him for his power and money. He was saved by a hunter that exorcised the demon from him and sent it back into hell, but not before the demon had used Max to kill.
For the next year or so, he devoted his time training to be a hunter. His money allowed him to be trained by some of the best at fighting, firearms and surviving skills. His family considered it just another one of his eccentric challenges, unknowing of what his true motives were.
When his father died, Max and his brother had the control of Blair enterprises forced upon them, but still that failed in turning him into a more responsible person. While he has a cunning mind for business, office work never truly appealed to him.
Neglecting his family business and taking on hunting, Max managed to survive easily the first few dangers he faced and found in fighting the evil a suitable outlet for his adrenalin-addiction, that made the supernatural hunt all a big game while he tried to keep his public life separated from his new hobby.
After one of such hunts, he encountered the sexy Alexis James, a hunter like him and became mesmerized by her. Not adept of long terms relationships, the playboy soon discovered that he wasn't able to part ways with the gorgeous woman and found himself love struck.
After Alexis was attacked by a viscious vampire, they decided to move to New Orleans into the old Victorian house he owned, accompanied by the housekeeper Betsy and the couple's cat Salem. More and more, the young billionaire is discovering he became addicted to his girlfriend and that his life would seem hollow without her.
Perhaps that is the reason why he bought that ring and proposed.

The glass shattered into a hundred pieces once reaching the wall.
Through the blinds night-time was crawling in, laden with foreboding. Somewhere down below a car alarm burst into life, a banshee wail on the cold night air. His tired body collapsed on the couch and as he closed his eyes, his mind drifted. Max had been drinking, thinking it would help him calm down, all it did was to arouse the ghosts in his head.
Here Lies Robert Blair. Devoted husband, beloved father.
The memory of those words inscribed on the tombstone seemed incredibly wrong on so many levels. He should knew that was coming when his father retired from Blair Enterprises, for a man that had been his definition of strength and stubbornness since he was born, only his heart condition would make him withdraw from the empire he had created from scratch. Still it was difficult to accept.
It had taken him one week to summon the courage to finally stand before his father’s grave. Not even all the money in the world was enough to save his father or even replace him.
An overall sense of dread he hadn’t felt in a long time had returned with crushing force. The nightmares were back, closing his eyes he would be dragged back to that night he committed his darkest crime, the blood was still on his hands no matter how many times he had forced himself to believe otherwise. And every night he would awake screaming.
His eyes flickered open, he couldn’t sleep, and when you don’t sleep everything seems unreal like in a nightmare. Was he losing his mind? For a long time now he had been fighting the feeling of being watched from the darkness, of being followed by someone or something. Hearing it call to him. Every time he turned to face it, there was nothing, and this was what scared him the most. Demons, vampires and all sorts of monsters he could handle, but how could he fight something that wasn’t real?
The world was out of joint. He was hallucinating and had to get away.
As he made his way across the streets, he tried to shake off a crushing guilt. Was this running away from his problems? Above him a halogen street-light burst rudely into life, a gentle hum filling the cold air. Was he just a moth, blindly following the light, thinking that it would solve all his problems?
With no way to deal with the past, he kept his eyes on the road. He was right on the edge, all that lacked was a gentle push.
The world started to pass by him in an increasing fast succession of flashes until it was all a blur. Out of the darkness a lonely figure welcomed him with open arms. The wheels of the car screeched in protest against the brakes, spinning out of control while the car spun over, the sickening sound of twisted metal reached his ears and then silence reigned.
That was before the door was ripped and his body was pulled out of the car as it had no weight at all. Blood poured heavily from the deep cut on his face, obscuring his eyesight with a reddish veil.
A voice ringed on his ears. “You can still see their faces? Do you still hear their screams every night Max? They still prevent you from sleeping?”
There was a chilling degree of complicity on that voice, it had come back from hell after him. “Did you think you could just let me burn for all eternity while you played the hero? Well, well, guess what? We are going to do all that again, doesn’t it sounds like fun? You and I together again like old times…wait…what is this?”
A hand ripped his shirt, revealing the symbol drawn on his chest. “A possession ward tattooed on your chest?”, the voice growled and Max’s body fell to the ground like a puppet with his strings cut. “You think you’re so brilliant, don’t you Max? I will tell you know, you can’t win this. There is more than one way to skin a cat… Anyone can kill a man, but to break his spirit and make him beg for death is quite a sight to behold. I’m going to kill every last one that you care about, one by one they will fall, all of your friends, your remaining family, Nicholas and Melissa…You won’t know when or how, and when I’m finished you will beg me to take you out of your misery. Until then I will see you in your nightmares Max.”
And then once again silence reigned as his conscience drifted. He was right on the edge, all that lacked was a gentle push…that was it.

Lexi had her own demons to deal with, she didn’t need his. He would never be able to forgive himself if she was hurt because of him, and so he had no other option than staying away.
Michael had been the first to die, high school friend and drinking buddy.
Next was Angie, ex-girlfriend.
Melissa had been taken to the ER after the demon attacked her, luckily she had recovered. Finding the demon had become an obsession to Max, stop him before others were killed, another death toll on the hunter’s conscience. In the end, when the storm was over, he had succeeded in sending the demon back to hell, but the price tool had been high, lost friends, a shaken love and in a way, Max was irrevocably changed in the midst of all of this.
He wasn’t the hero, there were no hero illusions anymore, just a hardened man that hoped it wasn’t too late to fix some of the damage that had been done. That was the reason he was there now. To find the blond goddess and discover if there was any hope of salvaging what they once had.
...
The simply visage of her was enough to leave him breathless, she was just as beautiful as he remembered her to be, the sexy goddess, time had not succeeded in fading his feelings for her, still there was a gap between them that he had no idea how to cross it now, or even if it could be crossed. Words were hard to formulate, could she still love him, the man he was now?
“…I had to see you”, Max was reluctant to reveal what had happened. He wanted to leave the past behind him, but in order to do that, he knew he owed her explanations. Max’s confidence was shaken, scared of how she would react, that she would send away or he would find her in the arms of another. Sincerely, he didn’t know what would be worse.
“A lot happened, something from my past I thought was over came back for me”, she was the only one that knew his secret. Could she notice the change on his eyes, the darker tone on his voice? Was she able to see beyond the obvious differences on him?
“Can we talk in private?”
