Abilities:
-Mind Reader/Telepathy – Delilah is able to read the mind of others and whisper her words into their mind. This is how mermaids have always communicated, and she finds it odd that humans are not disciplined and can not shield her from the parts of their mind they don’t wish her to see.
-She is able to cast one spell that allows her to switch from her mermaid form to human form. It’s only a one word spell in ancient Gaelic, but she cannot tell anyone what it is, as it has been a long held secret of the Mer-people.
-Illusion – Delilah has the power to implant illusions into a persons mind whether they be sleeping or awake. She can show them their hearts desires or if it so pleases her, their most fearsome nightmare. To the person she’s casting illusion on, it’s as if everything they see is real. Their mind believes they can touch it, taste it, feel everything that they see. It’s a good way to lure someone to their death.

Delilah is superficial caring mostly about shiny things and the best comforts in life, though she doesn’t feel the need to have to work for them. If someone is an alley being mugged, it’s not her business and she continues on about her day, feeling no remorse for not helping. If it’s not Delilah’s business she doesn’t get involved, unless of course there’s something in it for her.
She is confident in herself and her skills, and knows that she will be able to get whatever she wants, whenever she wants. Delilah is smart, smooth, and has killer looks, and she knows it.

Born in the other realm Delilah Coral Stormwind is the youngest of four sisters. She grew up in the ocean, swimming, collecting shiny trinkets and baubles and having a carefree existence. She swam in the oceans, her only predators being sharks and various sea monsters.
Her parents kept their daughters safe, restricting where they could go until their thirtieth birthday. This is when a mermaid comes of age and is given the spell that allows them to have legs and walk on land. In their history, the merfolk made a deal with a powerful witch to keep their numbers from extinquishing. Many of the older ones had mated with humans to ensure the survival of their race. Those who are half breeds are considered degrading, as they usually cannot breathe under water for very long and their telepathy is very subpar.
Delilah comes from a pureblood family who raised her to mate with only other merfolk. For two hundred years Delilah believed this to be true. Having had to care for nothing and no one other than her family, Delilah became obsessed with her beauty and the things she collected. Her parents sheltered their youngest daughter, wanting her to date only the best to keep the blood lines pure.
When the realms merged Delilah was ripped away from her family and left on her own in New Orleans. Having been raised with finesse, and realizing how easy it was to read the minds of the humans Delilah soon was able to learn the ways of becoming a grifter. She learned of the luxuries of the Earth realm, indulging in fancy clothes and spa treatments and realizing that she was not the only supernatural creature here. She does however, think she’s the only one with finesse.
Having found no other pure blood, Delilah is still a virgin in every sense. She intends to keep it that way, lest she find another of her kind. If she ever does make it home, if she ever sees her family again and they knew she had mated with someone who was not of their own kind, they would see her disgraced and shunned.
