she acts like summer and walks like rainreminds me that theres time to change Elle had never had so much fun in her life. The human world was exciting, invigorating; an adventure like she’d never known! No doubt her parents were worrying about her by now, but since finding out how to shift between the other world and the human realm, the little pixie just couldn’t compel herself to go back to Dragonfly Glen. She couldn’t purposely end the adventure! The human world had massive metal beasts that allowed you sit within them in order to travel great distances. The human world had buildings where you could watch life-like scenes play out in front of your eyes on screens as big as a dragon The human world had amazing places where you could go dance under glittering lights to music that thumped in time with your heart beat. And the food! Oh, the food was magnificent. Rich, decadent, spicy….nothing like the things they ate back home. This night Elle was craving a real escapade. Wandering through the streets of New Orleans proper, the little pixie spotted a colorful sign hanging from the street lamp which announced the arrival of the Midway fair. The impish blonde bounced happily and clapped her hands. A fair! Elle didn’t know what it was but the poster was bright and cheerful, and seemed like just the kind of adventure she was looking for. Of course as a pixie she could have probably just shrank to her normal size and flown on the wind, but she preferred to wear this human size. It was nice to be as big, if not bigger than the things that surrounded her. Sometimes being pixie sized was quite difficult. So prancing happily through town, Elle followed the posters until she saw towering roller coasters zooming towards the heavens and heard the glittering sound of children having fun. Twirling merrily, she slipped in behind a group of rowdy teenagers, blissfully ignorant of the fact she was supposed to pay for entrance. Once inside the fairground gates the pixie was bowled over by all the blinking lights, the wonderful smelling fried food tents, and the loud and fast moving attractions. Her turquoise eyes grew wide as moons while she twirled around to take it all in. Where to begin… That broad green-blue gaze landed on a tent with a canvas picture of a unicorn hanging from the outside. Tilting her head to one side, curiosity got the better of her. What was a unicorn from her world doing here? And why in a place like this? Elle approached the tent and slid past the ticket taker who was snoring at his post. Inside, what she saw made her gasp in horror. Behind a barred cage, an emaciated white goat chewed absently at a bundle of golden hay. “Why…you aren’t a unicorn at all…” She whispered to the creature, which regarded her with an absent stare. Shifting to pixie size she flew through the bars and into the cage, shifting back once inside of it. “This horn isn’t even yours!” Elle said in horror, gently touching the sparkling uni-horn that had been glued to the animal. She winced at the red and swollen skin underneath the horn, hugging the beast as tears sprang to her eyes. “Oh, how horrible. You are a prisoner here!” She wept, clinging to the bewildered creature. “Hey! What are you doin’ in there?!” An angry voice sounded from across the room; a carnival attendant just coming off his smoke break to find a crazed woman inside the cage.

Oh, sweet pixy blood, how I love thee so. Violeta mused as she walked around the Midway Fair, the leather pants covering her legs rubbed together very softly as she moved. She loved all the lights and sparkly things. Her icy blue eyes took in every last aspect of it from the smell of popcorn to the humans strolling around with merriment and excitement. Their blood pumped so quickly, making Violeta’s mouth water.
A small grin crossed her face. Her pupils dilated as she got a whiff of something absolutely delicious. It had been so long since she had smelled a pixie. Their blood was so sweet. The last time she had been with a pixie their blood mixed with her seductive powers she had some mind blowing sex. It was something she always wanted to experience again.
She trailed this scent for a good half a mile. It took her to a part of the fair that made her smile. Of course a pixie would enter a tent with a canvas picture of a unicorn hanging from the outside. Her lips parted seductively as she inhaled the beautiful pixie fragrance. It stuck to her tongue and she swallowed, savoring the smell and taste.
She heard a weeping pixie inside the tent. If she had been human it would have probably broken her heart, but she wasn’t. Followed after the weeping were the sounds of a man yelling.
Behind the man a figure of a woman stood there with her arms crossed under her chest and a smirk on her face.
“Haven’t you ever heard about the pixie death curse?” Violeta asked from across the tent. “If you spill a pixies blood you will die within five minutes of its death.” The girl bullshitted with the heated man. She could care less if he didn’t believe her or decided to kill the blonde pixie girl, but Violeta found an interest in the girl. If there was one pixie that meant there was more of them. She’d like to find a promising Fae to hook up with for a night or two.
“But, then again, I’ve also heard if you catch their tears you can live a lifetime,” she told him. Where was she going with all of this? She didn’t know or care. She found it amusing to watch the confused expression on the mortal’s face. He was still trying to figure out if Violeta was going to harm him or not.
He should have been worried. She came packing. Not only was she a vampire, though he didn’t know, she carried more than one weapon on her.
She decided to spook the guy a little more and grinned every so slightly. The tips of her fangs hung over her bottom lip. He cursed and stepped slowly towards the door.
She laughed seductively and watched the effect it had on the poor human. His fear was quickly replaced with a longing desire. He moved towards Violeta. She held his eyes with hers and smiled, “You will leave and forget you ever saw either of us.”
Her right hand came up to slide a fingernail over his face. She could rip his throat out and he wouldn’t even know, but she didn’t feel like wasting blood. “Now leave,” her words lashed out like a crack of a whip and sent the man out of the tent.

since the return from her stay on the moonshe listens like spring and talks like june At the sound of the harsh male voice Elle gasped in fright and surprise. Her arms tightened around the little neck of the creature, which produced an uncomfortable bay from him. Pinching her pale pink lips together tightly, she released her hold, standing up right to face the human; wide turquoise eyes filled with panic and crystalline tears. “I didn’t mean to trespass.” The pixie held her white blonde head up as if she held the courage of a lion in her breast, which, she most certainly did not. Usually not a nervous creature, the pixie was far removed from what she was accustomed to, and though she was enjoying the human world quite immensely, had found them to be aggressive, callous beings on occasion. “I heard this creature cry out in pain. Just look at how this fake horn is irritating his forehead.” Elle motioned to the irritation with a wave, her green-blue eyes narrowing in frustration and her hands resting on her hips. “What right do you have to keep this animal here behind these bars under the guise of a mystical being like a unicorn. Surely you humans could figure out if he truly was a unicorn, it would be able to poof out of this prison as easily as a gargoyle can turn to stone. You are silly creatures sometimes, really.”Elle blinked in disbelief, the narrowed eyes growing wide again as a dark haired female crept in behind the man and then addressed him with utter amusement. Her head tilted to the side in confusion when the beautiful woman spoke of the pixie death curse; something she had never EVER heard of in her life. If such was the case why didn’t those dreadful dark fae drop dead every time they squashed a pixie underfoot for simple amusement? And then female spoke of pixie tears, and this time Elle knew she had to be a being of supernatural decent. How else would she know Elle was a pixie? The blonde watched in awe as the raven haired female approached the man with the slither of a beautiful snake. Her laughter was a dazzling harmony that made the pixie smile, but seemed to affect the male in a much different way. The little pixie was amazed when the human all but forgot Elle and moved toward her with a vacant look of yearning in his eyes. And when the female ordered him to leave, he did so, without a word or another glance toward the woman behind the bars. Once the human was gone the pixie leaned down to whisper to the goat; assuring him that she would get him as far away from the cell as possible. But first she had to thank the stunning woman with the bright azure eyes. Shifting to pixie size Elle flew out between the bars. Her wings glowed a soft pink color, and left a trail of glittering dust behind her. When she landed before the other female, it was in a burst of pixie dust that she shifted back to human size; a wide beaming smile on her child-like face as she stuck a hand out to the woman. “I owe you many thanks. I think if you hadn’t come along I’d be up to my ears in elderberry jam. I’m Elle. That’s two E’s and two L’s…”

Oh, what silly humans. They clearly did not understand supernatural beings. At times she found great pleasure in toying with them. There was always a motive with what Violeta did though. She was a bit on the selfish side. She knew this and accepted it.
The pixie in front of her amused her greatly. She was so worried about saving the goat that had a unicorn glued to its head. Honestly, Vee could have cared less if the goat lived or died. Every living thing would succumb to death at some point, as it was humans consumed a lot of animal meat.
This pixie though. Oh, she was a grand one. She was quite beautiful. Her jewel-like eyes were enough to sink any ship. Her frail demeanor was what Vee loved the most. She was so innocent looking. Hell, even her attitude was innocent.
Vee had a beguiling saunter that attracted most men. It was not a performance. She oozed the power of seduction. She moved closer as the pixie shifted to her small form and flew from the cage to approach. Her beautiful pink wings fluttered delicately behind her. With a pop the pixie was in front of her. The pixie dust in the air assailed her senses. It caused a small, fleeting smile to cross her face.
“Pixies should stick together. What if that human trapped you? He could have shoved you into an airtight jar. Or he could have stepped on you and squished you into a pile of pixie dust,” she said with a reflective look, “I’m not sure which would be worse…being trapped in a jar or becoming bug guts..” She thought this all out loud. “But, don’t let me scare you,” she said with amusement. She had such a sick sense of humor.
“I am Violeta Kryt.” The seductive vampire literally purred her own name. She reached out a hand and shook the pixie’s smooth one. “There’s nothing to thank me for. I was out to have fun tonight. It just happened that I smelt a pixie in the area. If you could only imagine my delight,” she laughed in an enticing manner.
“What brings a pixie to such a human infested place?” She asked with sudden interest. She couldn’t fathom why she had flown into a fair of all places. The only thing there that fancied Vee about this place was the lights. She loved sparkly things. Elle had just made her list of sparkly things to stare at, which she was doing now. It wasn’t just the pixie dust, but her jewel-like eyes were hard to turn from. Maybe she could keep Elle as a pet?

But tell me, did you sail across the sun? Did you make it to the Milky WayTo see the lights all faded And that heaven is overrated? Elle usually would have been distracted by the smell of beer battered foods deep-frying in over used oil, or the jovial laughter of children and adults alike as they soared toward the heavens on the metal beasts with dips and loop-de-loops; and she certainly should have been distracted by the female’s familiarity with her kind, but at the moment her crystalline gaze was focused on the pearly white fangs that pressed ever so slightly against the woman’s bottom lip as she spoke. What kind of creature was this mystifyingly beautiful creature that stood before her? She looked human, but didn’t smell human, and as far as the pixies knew, human’s didn’t have fangs like that! How on earth did she know about pixies and could she read minds? Elle’s biggest fear was being trapped in a, well, jar or what have you; left there to run out of air. The fragile blonde winced at the woman’s amused tone when mentioning being stepped on, a pale hand going to her slightly parted lips. “Yes, typically pixies stick together, but this is hardly the realm in which pixies usually exist, now isn’t it?” Elle answered her honestly, but with an airy expression on her face. She gathered from the Violeta’s comments that she knew a thing or two about the Other Realm, if in fact she wasn’t from there herself. The blonde ached to talk about home with another other realmer, and leapt at the chance to do so. Elle took her hand and shook it with a little more enthusiasm than was really necessary; a wide silly grin spread over her face. Fun! Exactly what she had been looking for! It was overwhelming to the over-excitable pixie that she would have someone to share her adventure with. “Well, I was looking for the exact same thing!” The blonde answered her animatedly, finally letting go of the rather icy palm and twirling around in the center of the little tent like a child at the fair for the first time…which…it truly was for the little female. “Human infested.” Elle giggled, not picking up the disdain. “That’s precisely why I came here. Can’t you just feel the excitement buzzing off of them? I certainly can. The sound of their laughter drew me. I knew it would be a place that I could pretend to be like one of them and do things that are forbidden in the Fairy Glen. Eating all those rich foods…turkey legs as big as my head…the pink fluffy stuff on the stick…”The pixie twirled back around to face Vee, her eyes fairly sparking with glee. “And did you happen to notice that large metal beast that spins around and around while you ride inside of it?” She clapped. “Glorious! I think I will get so dizzy I might loose the food I consumed this morning! Doesn’t that sound like such an adventure?!”

Violeta grimaced as the pixie went about twirling around and speaking about all the excitement buzzing off of the humans. She didn’t see it in quite the same light as Elle. She didn’t care to hear the humans giggle with delight. Now, the fear that ebbed off of them while they rode those rides was a whole different story. “The only thing I can feel buzzing off of them is their fear, desires, and blood.” Oh, their blood was so sweet, but she was staring at the pixie as she thought that. A pixies blood was far sweeter than any mortal’s blood she had ever tasted, but there was something about mixing pleasure and blood with them. It was truly something to be fantasized over.
The pixie was so amusing in her excitement over the filthy humans. She couldn’t help but smile ever so slightly. Her eyes didn't display any emotions over what the pixie spoke of. She wondered if she realized how disgustingly adorable she was. It made her sick to her stomach. Vee never understood these over excited emotions. Humans were much like that, as well. It was different when a pixie did it though. It actually made her feel a little human. Was there something magical about them that made her senses feel all tingly?
The vampire raised one slender eyebrow as she watched this girl with utter fascination. “I can’t eat human food, but if you wish to try these human things then why don’t you? As a matter of fact, I’ll go with you. I won’t be much company though,” she told her. She would have to watch the pixie eat and dazzle over how scrumptious it all was.
The offer slipped so easily from her lips, but inwardly she growled at herself for trying to be friendly to someone. What was her motive by being friends with a pixie? Really, she could say that it was to see if the pixie knew any fae or maybe she had some hot pixie brother that she could have for snack, but it didn’t seem to have anything to do with that now. The mirth coming off of that pixie had become contagious. It made her feel good to have someone to speak with, but she would never, in a million years, ever tell anyone that. She had to keep her cool and detached demeanor so nobody knew that under her aloof exterior that there was something else going on.
“The beast you speak of is called a Ferris wheel. If you want to go on that we can, but it’s not as much fun as you might think it would be,” said your grumpy neighborhood vampire. She could slither across the floor faster than that thing did circles. “I do enjoy the lights from up top though,” she told the pixie, “As well as that beautiful pixie dust. I wish I could keep all those sparkles in a jar.”
What was her obsession with sparkly things?

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star One without a permanent scarAnd did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there Elle stopped in her twirling to regard the quixotic beauty and the words that fell from her lips like velvet. A thin blonde eyebrow lofted high over her turquoise stare as she considered all the different creatures this female might possibly be. Maybe she was a sorceress. She had mesmerized the human man so easily with just the magic of her tongue and the brightness of her eyes. Or perhaps Vee was a shifter? She seemed so in tune with the blood that flowed fiercely through human veins, but then again, the ability to charm humans by simply willing it so was a trick that the fae possessed. Inhaling deeply and then letting it out with a wide, beaming smile, Elle shook her head as if to get rid of the reservations. What did it matter what sort of creature she was? The woman seemed as sweet as the dew that fell from a strawberry bloom at dawn and she wanted to enjoy the human world with the pixie. Immediately Elle clapped happily, prancing closer to the female and grasping her lightly by the hand in order to drag her over to the ‘unicorn’ cage. “Fun, food and metal beasts can wait…” She said as seriously as the little blonde could, “but first things first.” Elle gave the vampire a little meaningful nod of her head before ‘popping’ back into pixie form with a burst of green-blue sparkling dust. With a little twitter from the dragonfly sized fairy, Elle flittered over to the lock that held the cage closed, reaching her wee arm in to wiggle the mechanisms inside the brass fastener. With an audible ‘click’, the lock came undone, and twinkling sounds of happiness could be heard from the winged sparkly creature before it floated inside to whisper something in the goat’s ear. With a bored ‘bah’ the animal wandered out of its prison and continued on outside of the tent, as Elle flew back over to the blue-eyed woman. Shifting back to human size made her a little dizzy, and she held one had to her head as she grabbed Vee’s wrist with the other to lead her out into the cool night air. “The goat will be fine. He knows a farm where his brothers and sisters live not far from here.” The blonde told the vampire with a serious nod of her head. As if the vampire cared… Regaining her gleeful smile as she tugged the woman outside, Elle stopped short just before they approached a fast moving metal beast that spun around in a circle to the sound of music while humans sat inside. The pounding of the hard rock music thrummed in time with her heart beat, and it was all the pixie could do not jump up and down like a youngling that had first learned to fly. “Is this more fun that the Ferris Wheel?” She asked Violeta with wide, hopeful eyes. “Will you ride on this one with me?” Before the vampire could even answer, Elle was dragging her up the platform and climbing into one of the seats. She tilted her head sideways as she tugged on the black seatbelt, absolutely oblivious to what it was or what it was for. “So, why can you not eat human food? And…how did you know I was a pixie?” Elle asked absently as she finally figured out that the belt went across her lap. She giggled ecstatically when she realized the two shiny metal parts clipped together; proud that she’d figured it out all by herself.

Violeta couldn’t help but be slightly amused by this pixie. She was so bubbly and alive. The emotions playing off of her were higher than a human’s emotion. She was taken slightly aback as a tiny, delicate hand slipped into hers and pulled her towards the caged animal. She inhaled deeply as the pixie ‘popped’ into pixie form. The sparkles she inhaled were intoxicating and oh so pretty.
Pixies and faes were such interesting creatures. She watched with amusement as the pixie flew into the lock and managed to unlock it. Her amusement grew even more so as the pixie flew over to the goat and spoke to it. Pixies were such strange creatures. She could have cared less if the goat lived or died.
She raised an eyebrow as Elle grabbed her wrist and lead her out. “I don’t particularly care for animals. I would have let him rot,” she said frankly.
When they approached a metal contraption that spun wildly it took all Violeta could muster not to frown. She didn’t see how spinning in circles was remotely fun. “I rather like the heights, but we can ride this one as well.” It did have a lot of sparkly lights. She couldn’t stop staring at everything around her, but before she knew it she was being tugged up the platform. Her leather boots screeched beneath her feet as she stepped up.
She stepped in next to Elle, regarding the seatbelt. As if that would do anything for her, but the way the carnival attendant was staring she didn’t think he’d start without her buckling up. With a resigned sigh, she pulled the buckle in place.
Her icy blue eyes shifted to gaze at the pixie next to her. She truly didn’t know she was a vampire? “I can only drink blood,” she spoke softly then flashed her fangs. “I know much about pixies and faes because they are delicious sex partners.” She couldn’t help to say it and shock the poor little pixie.
The sound of the contraptions engine started to run along with the loud music. Violeta looked around at all of the humans, smelling their fear and excitement as the machine started to slowly spin. It’s a shame they weren’t experiencing some form of lust. She could have fed off of all of that.
She turned her head to glance at the pixie to see if she was enjoying herself. Those turquoise jewels pulling her in them for a moment. Vee showed no excitement or fear in her eyes for the ride. Her attention was pulled from the pixie as a myriad of lights flashed before her eyes as the machine started to really spin. She turned to watch them with such a great interest.

The seat belt did little to restrain the blonde imp. She bounced in her seat and giggled merrily, clapping and casting the raven haired woman an eager smile. This was even more than she’d expected from the adventure. Not only had she found a place full of sparkling optimistic energy, she had been able to save a helpless beast AND made a new friend. The pixie was so delighted that even though she wore the simple human form, her skin fairly glistened with golden shimmer. The happiness practically crackled inside her; desperate to escape. You see, the happiness of a pixie was something extremely hard to contain. Just before the metal beast roared to life Vee replied to Elle’s inquiry and her answer brought a slight gasp from the bouncy blonde. Could only drink blood? A vampire? Elle had hear tales of such creatures, but had never, ever met one. Pixie legend described them as horrible, evil individuals, but Vee seemed nothing like that! “Oh goodness!” Elle’s pale cheeks deepened to a bright pink hue when the vampire mentioned pixies as being delicious sexual partners. Her kin the fae’s were naturally very sexual beings. She’d even heard tale of some of them causing so much pleasure during the act that their partner DIED of ecstasy. Her experience, on the other hand, was far from skilled; for she had never done more than kiss another. “I suppose I’ll just have to take your word on that.” The pixie added awkwardly and offered a tentative smile, and then the machine underneath them began to groan, signaling the start of the ride. The ride…oh, the ride. It was absolutely glorious! It spun them around with such velocity, Elle couldn’t hardly move her head around to see the lights and surroundings blur into nothing more than vibrant smears of color. The sound of the excited shouting coming from the other passengers was a melody that made her soul twirl with merriment; she wanted to dance to it forever and ever…or at least until the next ride. The wind whipped at Elle’s cheeks and the sensation was positively exhilarating. She breathed it in and rose her arms up over her head like she saw others doing; which added to the thrill. She almost felt as though she would slide out of the seat and float up, up, up, up… And then the ride was over. The end brought disappointed groans and sighs from the other passengers, and Elle chimed in with them, though her groan was more an exaggerated pixie-like rumble from her throat which turned into a giggle. She struggled with the belt until the ride attendant came around to help her, and then she shot up, grasping Vee’s hand once again. “Whooooa…I’m so dizzy.” She laughed and paused while the world still spun around her. “It’s positively AMAZING!!”With that she tugged Vee down to the exit and back out into the main thoroughfare. Everything called to her; she didn’t know where to go next. “What should we do next Vee? You don’t mind if I call you Vee do you?” Elle fairly flew towards an arena of carnival games with blinking lights and loud blips. “ I want to do EVERYTHING!!”

The response she got from Elle made her smile. It wasn’t that she was evil. She loved to shock the hell out of people, and as Elle gasped then paled at her straightforward words, she laughed. This pixie was a delight to be around. It was very rare to see this vampire laugh, but she did because the pixies expression was priceless. She had more delight watching the pixie’s shocked expression than she did when she heard the rides engines start to work.
Oh joy. Wooo. Violeta thought sarcastically as the ride started to spin. It was everything she imagined and then some. She let her icy blue gaze shift from one person to the next on the ride. She could run backwards faster than this ride spun. It was quite comical to see the ghastly expressions on the humans’ faces. Her hair whipped in front of her face, barely causing any distraction for her. Then her icy blue gaze shifted to the blurred lights. They were so entrancing. She couldn’t quite pull her gaze away from them. Okay, the sparklies would be enough to keep her interested, but that was it.
As the ride ended Violeta gave the other passengers an annoyed expression. She did not want to go around a second time. One time had clearly been enough for her. She unbuckled her seat before the attendant could even touch her. She did wait for him to help the pixie though. And yet, the pixie still grabbed her hand. She surely thought the vampire talk would have frightened her off. Hm…curious.
“You’re not going to get sick, are you?” She asked the pixie, not that it would bother her. She just didn’t want her upchucking all over her leather outfit. It would be hard to get that smell out of them.
But then the pixie tugged her towards the exit and through the main access. “Do next?” She asked with a grumpy look tugging across her lips. “And no, I don’t mind if you call me Vee.” She gave an exasperated sigh at how much excitement was flowing off of the pixie. She really did not want to go on another ride.
The pixie led her towards carnival games with blinking lights. Okay, this could be fine. She wouldn’t mind staring at the pretty lights while the pixie gets her shits and giggles out of the boring games.
“You know what I think, Elle? You should eat some elephant ears,” she told the pixie. Her icy blue eyes stared at the stand where they were made. If she was human still she was sure she would like those, but she wouldn’t mind watching Elle devour one.
She latched onto the pixie’s hand this time and dragged her towards the booth where they were making the delicious treats. Maybe next she could talk the pixie into eating cotton candy.
