Blood.
For humans it is the sustenance of life, the medium through which their vitality exists.
For vampires though, blood is life, plain and simple. It is the air they breath, and the water they drink. Vampires cannot sustain life themselves, so they must steal it, consume it.
Sareh Astar was born into the life of the vampire with no memory of what came before, of what it meant to be human. The first thought of her existence was blood, and nothing more. And since that day, blood, and the prospect of acquiring it, has been all she's cared for.
As the centuries passed, Sareh's antics grew more and more complex, her schemes claiming an untold number of lives. She reveled in the violence and horror, and grew to crave the chaos she rendered in her mindless bloodshed. The more complex her plan, the greater the chaos.

Her latest plan is her most deceptive yet, and if she succeeds, it will be her most deadly. Society will be thrown into turmoil, and the night will no longer be safe for any but the undead.
Astar Medical Inc., a prestigious medical research firm owned by Sareh, is home to countless breakthroughs in human medicine. But underneath the public image. The company deals in the black market, distributing untested vaccines, prototypical blood substitutes, and chemical-laced blood packets. To what goal is Astar Medical Inc. working? And just how does the company factor into Sareh's scheme?
One thing is sure.
If Sareh is not stopped, nothing will ever be the same.
