The images flashed by one by one. There were people dancing in cages, others were drinking, while others were doing un-thinkable acts. Bella shook her head from side to side as each vision entered her mind. Soon the visions became more intense, now she was seeing vision of of a crimson fluid, a man laughing in the back ground. The flashes were quick, but Bella could not mistake the long sharp fangs that flashed from the laughing man in her dream.
The images flashed by one by one as if someone was flipping pages of a book really fast. Bella shot up, her body in a cold sweat. Instantly she sat up and grabbed the pen and notepad that sat on the night stand. Quickly, she began to make note of all the images she saw-She listed everything she could remember, from the people,to the blood, to mysterious laughing man whom she assumed was a vampire and then the final vision, an old church.
From all the images she had seen, the structure seemed to stand out more. Bella flipped the page of the notepad and began sketching the building. When she was finished, she held the picture away as she studied it. It was such a beautiful structure, it reminded her of her old vampire stories she used to read as kids. It was ironic that the other vivid image she saw was the man.
She saw for sure the man in her dream had fangs. Of course nowadays that didn't necessarily mean that the man was a vampire. Could very well be some crazy poser so obsessed with being a creature of the night, that they bought fangs or had them surgically fitted. Bella found these people odd because they were human that pretended to be vampires, they would act as if they were a member of the un-dead. Most dressed in dark Gothic like clothing- Like all vampires were goth nowadays. Some would sleep in coffins and sleep during the day, and yes some even drank human blood.
Bella shook her head, the craziness of it all. Then again she herself wanted to become reborn as a vampire. She could not help but laugh at the humor- reborn and un-dead vampire-the irony. The thing that separated Bella from the other vampire wannabes was that she wasn't one for playing pretend. If she was going to be a vampire, she was going to be a 'real' vampire.
She had done enough research to know that the creatures did in fact exist, so she knew it was possible. She was so tired of being the naive girl that did what everyone else ask of her. She was tired of being push around and ignored. She just wanted a change, a new life. She wanted to be someone other than Bella.
It would that the popularity of her work would have changed her mind sometime down the road. It didn't matter how many cases she solved/de-bunked, or how many people she had helped. Well it did matter, but it wasn't enough to curb that burning desire she learned for, for so long.
Bella set the piece of paper down and looked at the clock. It was one in the morning; seemed like a good time to check things out. She dressed as quickly as she could, dressing so that she would fit in with the other patrons. Bella pulled out a black sleeveless/corset like dress. She took a deep breath as she pulled the corset tight, then finally once she was adjusted; Bella let out a breath-or at least tried to.
She glance down and tried to straighten the long skirt that came with the dress. The long split down the side almost made her blush. Finally she pulled a pair of long black boots that stopped just below the knee from the closet. It only took a few moments to place the boots on and add a nice Gothic like choker necklace and she was ready to go. Bella glance in the mirror and was embarrassed but slightly impressed by the look she had just accomplished. 'not bad' she thought, 'But there's something missing.' She glanced in the mirror and instantly found what she had forgotten- her hair. It was still a mess of bed head horror, Bella quickly ran to the restroom to apply the finishing touches to her Gothic look.

About an hour later Bella entered the door of the establishment that was in her dream. How she found the place was a mystery, like many times before; she just somehow knew where to go. The investigator looked around at all the dancing patrons. The place seemed so packed for the time of night that it was.
Her eyes glanced up and she saw the dancing women in the cages. She remembered the sight from her dream, but in person it seemed to only make her blush. She shook her head, this could not work. She just could not turn beet red just by seeing women dancing provocatively, and by just glancing around the entire place. There was a whole lot more to blush about. She just could not have that, if she was going to get the information she was looking for, she was going to have to relax.
Bella hurried to the bar and sat down; trying to not peek at the people around her. She waited for the bartender to come to her before ordering a beer. The bartender nodded and pulled out a nice cold bottle, opened the cap and sat in front of the woman. "Thanks", Bella said as she took a drink. She the cold liquid went down her thought, she began to wonder what exactly was she looking for. Was it just out of curiosity? Or was she hoping to find an actual vampire, a vampire that could help her escape her human life.
