I was caught In the middle of a railroad track I looked 'round, And I knew there was no turning back My mind raced And I thought what could I do?
He laid there in the dark next to her, it felt so damned right to have her next to him. One of her long legs wrapped over him, her hand standing lightly at his chest as she dreamed safely. Getting her hand in his, he smiled at the smell of the perfume she wore, that fragrance he so loved so much. It was a sweet fragrance, as if she already didn’t already smell lovely even without it. But even there, in this peaceful bliss, his mind was troubled. When he thought he had lost her, he had thrown himself at the damned vampire, gone at his throat with his bare hands. He was ready to die and drag the bastard to the grave with him. She was safe, she was alive. And Max knew that his life without her would have no meaning any longer. And Luka was still out there somewhere. He couldn’t risk that maniac getting close to her again, hurting her. No, he wouldn’t have peace of mind until he took the bastard down. Placing a quick kiss on her hand, he gently pushed it away and then did the same to move her leg and slip silently out of the bed, careful to not wake her up. Getting dressed in a pair of jeans, a black muscle shirt and holding his boots in his hand, he padded barefoot to not make a noise. He only stopped for a second when he reached the bedroom door to peek back at her over her shoulder and smiled. His perfect goddess, she was safe…and it was his duty to make sure it stayed that way. He knew she would ask him to stop and he didn’t want her to worry. Climbing down the stairs, he took a seat on the couch, pulled on his boots before walking over to the library to pick a duffel bag and filling it with enough weapons to start a war. That night he would hunt. As he stalked towards the door, he noticed the kitchen light was on. Dammit! What the hell Betsy was doing so late? He did his best to move in silence, taking baby steps toward the door, mentally repeating a mantra over and over. ‘I’m a ninja, I’m a ninja, I’m a ninja…’ “Where are you going boy?” Shit! So much for his ninja skills. “Hey Betsy!” he said trying to pull a smile at the housekeeper. “I was just going for a ride, couldn’t sleep you know?” Betsy eyed him, taking his features and the bag on his hand. “Who you’re trying to fool boy? You’re going after him, aren’t you? Miss Lexi won’t be happy with it, no sir!” Dammit, she knew him too well. The woman was more than a housekeeper to Max, she was as if a second mother to him. A witch in her own right, a lovingly protective figure that watched over he and Lexi. “I won’t tell if you don’t,” he told her offering a reassuring smile, “And I will be back, I have no plans of leaving you two, trust me.” Betsy sighed in concern, but she knew there was no point in trying to dissuade him of that idea. The boy loved Lexi with all his heart, she could tell that. Never before she’d seen him so smitten by a woman and was happy to see that he had the good sense to hang on to her, she was a keeper. Placing a soft kiss into her forehead Max turned around only to have Salem, the black cat, hissing in protest to his sneaky departure. Dropping to his knee, he petted the cat’s head briefly and rose to his feet and he was out of the door in a minute. Tossing the bag in the passenger seat of the Bugatti Veyron, he slid into the driver’s seat and turned the key into the ignition, hearing the engine roar. This night he would hunt, and he was intent in taking in seeing the bastard burning down to ashes.

And then I crashed into you, And I went up in flames. Could've been the death of me, But then you breathed your breath in me. And I crashed into you, Like a runaway train. You will consume me, But I can't walk away.
The moment the bed shifted, Lexi woke.
With senses attuned the the slightest sound, she felt Max disengage himself from her and then moved quietly around the room. Keeping her eyelids closed, she pretended sleep until she heard the bedroom door close and then she rolled on to her back. Glaring up at the ceiling, she mentally counted to one hundred and then listened for the sound of a car door.
Sure enough, there it came.
Did Max honestly think he was fooling anyone? Did he honestly think she wouldn't know he was up to something with all this sneaking around and "taking a drive" at night? She might be blond but she wasn't stupid. She knew EXACTLY What he was attempting to do.
And it scared the holy hell out of her.
Pushing upright, Lexi swung her legs out of bed and hurried for the closet. Slipping into a pair of jean shorts and a dark tank top, she quickly twisted her hair up into a messy ponytail and headed down the stairs. The keys to her own silver Audi sat on the table so she pocketed them before heading through the kitchen to the garage. Betsy, of course, was still bustling around and Lexi gave her a quick peck on the cheek before nabbing a brownie off the tray.
"Which way did he go this time, Betsy?"
"Lord child, you know I can't see down to the gate. I imagine he's heading down into town again though. That boy has a monkey on his back and there aint going to be any sleeping around here till he satisfies that animal."
Sighing, the slender blond went ot the fridge and grabbed out a juice bottle.
"Your right but I can't let him go out alone.. He's going ot get himself killed and then where would I be?"
Arching a brow, the older black woman gave her a chiding look.
"You mean you and that little one your carrying? You know that Maximilian will be very upset if he finds out you've been hiding your condition from him..."
Snorting, Lexi twisted the cap off her drink.
"Yeah.. well, its not like he's exactly given me any choice now has he?? Not to mention the fact that he's not made a secret of the fact that he won't exactly be THRILLED with the knowledge, huh?"
Heading for the door, the witch sent the other woman a smile.
"My GPS is on on my phone..When I find him... I'll let you know. You can track us both through the computer system!"
With that, she disappeared inside the garage and climbed in her car. This was promising to be a long night.
Turning the key, she backed out of the garage and turned the vehicle down the long drive and then out on to the open road. She sure hoped Max knew what he was doing. She would really hate to ruin her favorite tennis shoes.

This is our life, this is our song We'll fight the powers that be just, Don't pick our destiny 'cause You don't know us, you don't belong Oh we're not gonna take it No, we ain't gonna take it Oh we're not gonna take it anymore
The headlights lighted the way ahead cutting into the night as his foot was as if lead to the accelerator. This wasn’t a joy ride in an almost deserted road for the adrenalin addicted however, he was on a mission. Having heard of leads that pointed to vampire attacks in town had put Max on the edge, memories of the attack to Lexi came back to surface and he couldn’t, wouldn’t, risk losing her. He’d rather die first than lose the most important person in the world for him.
Turning the will to the right, one might think the near miss with the car now behind him meant that he was on the edge of losing control of his car, but he knew very well what he was doing. The adrenalin addict he was, he had enough experience about fast driving and he had every intent to come back to the blonde woman that was – supposed to be – fast at sleep in their bed.
Soon enough, the car came to a halt and the engine died out. It was an empty place of town this time of the night, the perfect place for a vampire to stalk about and strike anyone dumb enough to be walking around those parts. If his info was right, that had been the place of the last known attack that had happened in the city.
Reaching for the bag in the passenger’s seat, he reached for the gun there and checked the clip. Once he was satisfied, he clicked it back in place and tucked the gun into his belt, letting his shirt fall over it concealing the weapon and stepped outside the vehicle ignoring the cold wind. Maybe there was some lead still that could be followed, something the police didn’t see because…obviously they wouldn’t be looking for real vampires.
Walking around the site, his eyes searched around in the dim light.
Unfortunately it seemed all that might have been there was already gone and nothing was to be found. Cursing under his breath, Max was greatly annoyed by it. It was his only lead, and he wasn’t pleased with the prospect of returning home with nothing.
Suddenly a noise behind him got his attention, he was a hunter, trained with the best and had his instincts honed to a lethal perfection, but even then he wasn’t able to move fast enough before he was pushed to the ground with great force, too strong to have been a normal mugger after his wallet. Letting his body roll as he was shoved down, the hunter reached for the gun and ignoring as his shoulder and arm got chaffed from reaching the pavement hard, he managed to move around as he fell and aim the weapon aimed at however was behind him and firing once.
The shadow standing there moved with great speed to the right dodging the bullet, and his aim followed the figure and fired again. This time around the outcome was different however as the sound of a gasp as the bullet pierced flesh was enough to bring a fleeting and almost imperceptible smirk to cross his lips.
Jumping back to his feet, he was about to charge at the figure in the shadows, but once again the vampire moved against him tossing him to his back. A groan escaped Max’s lips as his back hit the pavement once again, he was growing tired of this game as his weapon once again fired. This time around the creature fled as another painful sound left it.
Good, he had made it hurt. But he wasn’t about to let the monster escape, he owed that to Lexi. He was her husband, should be strong enough to protect his wife and keep her safe.
He knew he wouldn’t be able to follow by feet, so running a few steps back, he jumped back in the car and started the engine. Keeping his eyes up, he followed as the creature seemed to levitate and jump over the roofs of the buildings down the street.
Damn, Luka could levitate?

OK, what the hell did her handsome husband think he was up too? Indianapolis 500 or something?
He might be in a hurry to get to his own funeral but Lexi sure as hell wasn't. It was a good thing she'd had Luke show her how to use the GPS cordinator the last time he was in town or she would have lost him in the dark and at the speed he was going.
Yeah, modern technology was definitely a blessing in this case.
Shaking her head, Lexi slowed her own speed until she cruised along at a reasonable pace and soon was just down the street from where Max's signal had finally stopped. She had just thrown the car into park and found her own gun and blade when the system beeped again and showed that his car had started once more.
Frowning, she watched it for a moment only to glance up in time to see something land on the hood of her Audi with a resounding “THUD”. Blinking bemusedly, she saw a dark figure and knew is certainly wasn't her husband trying to teach her a lesson.
Oh HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! It was a freaking bloodsucker. Go figure. That was her luck lately.
As the creature hissed and barred its fangs, the blond allowed her eyes to adjust to the darkness and took in the details the moonlight allowed. The vampire seemed to be favoring his left leg so she knew he's already tangled with her hunter. Flipping the safety off her own glock, she kicked open the drivers side door just as the thing lept for the other side and tried to disappear into the shadows. Raising the weapon, she fired three shots of liquid silver in short secession but growled when none of them seemed to find its mark.
Damn it... She was going soft. Three months ago, he'd have gotten drilled straight through the heart.
As headlights came at her from down the road, Lexi swore and prayed that the driver wouldn't recognize the other vehicle on the street. With any luck, he would be so intent on the chase, he'd pass her right by.
Unfortunately, the vampire seemed to come to a plan of his own and just as the blond went to dive for cover, he lunged out of the shadows and made a grab for her.
Well Hell... Wasnt this like deja vue?

The engine of his car roared as Max followed the shadow figure stride through the rooftops. He ignored the burning in his shoulder that had just started to bleed slightly and his back. Being tossed around wasn’t his idea of a fun night, he’d rather be in his warm bed next to his wife than racing after a monster. But he knew that as long as that particular monster was out there in the loose, he would always be looking over his shoulder to make sure it wasn’t stalking for Lexi.
Things were so much easier when they had started dating, in a flash his mind remembered that long weekend they spent on his brother villa back in Spain, remembered that little bikini she wore on the bit and the goddess like image of her skin bathing under the sun.
Cut back to the present.
As the shadowy figure jumped over one roof into the streets, he made a sharp turn to the left that had the tires screeching in protest against the asphalt. Just one block further and another sharp turn to the left he would be back on the chase.
When his headlights picked the sight of the other car standing there in the street, he saw the passenger car door open and the scene taking place between his eyes. Time itself seemed to slow down to a surreal speed.
There was his wife. What the hell…? But he didn’t have time to even complete that line of thought and wonder how she had gotten there. The vampire was making a grab for her, his dirty paws closing into her throat and oh, how Max hated the creature even more for daring to touch her.
There in the flash of light he could see it wasn’t the monster he was looking for however. It was all wrong, height, hair color and build. The face was a blur and he didn’t have time to focus on it, but he knew it wasn’t Luka.
Tapping the wheel slightly to the left, he made a calculate move and hit on the accelerator. The car went towards the two figures ahead, catching the vampire head on in the far right of his car and causing his hold to let go of the blonde witch he was attacking as the car missed her entirely.
The vampire’s body was hit with such strength that his body was tossed against the Bugatti’s window, smashing hard against it before sending him upwards and over the roof of the car.
That had to hurt.
Hitting on the brakes, Max jumped out of the car as soon as it stopped and raced towards his wife, the gun in his hand.
“Lexi! What the hell you’re doing here!?” he called after her hoping she was unharmed.

Ok, this was so NOT how she'd envisioned this happening.
Damn it, she was sick and tired of these damned blood suckers latching on to her like she was some kind of cherry sucker. What? Did she have some kind of freaking sign that said "HERE! DRINK FROM ME! I TASTE LIKE A CHOCOLATE FUDGE BROWNIE" or something tattooed on her forehead?
God, sometimes it just didn't pay to get out of bed.
Turning her attention back to the moment at hand, Lexi let her hand shift to the knife sheath she wore and was just slipping the blade free when the roar of the oncoming car made her still.
At first, it didn't register what it was doing exactly and then she screached. Instead of slowing down, the car seemed to be picking up in speed and heading directly for them. That terrified her more than the vampire holding her and it seemed to stun her captor also.
With a twist, Lexi wrenched herself out of the creatures arms just as she made out Max's face and threw herself to the side. The instant she did so, the car struck the vampire who's been to slow to move and tossed it head over heels to land in a heap.
As it crashed to the ground, Lexi laid where she'd fallen and stared. Shock, surprise, anger and then shock again flooded her and for a moment, she couldn't speak as Max bailed from the car and ran to her.
"You... I.... What... " she stammered out.
Finally giving up, she looked down at her scraped hands and knees and groaned. Betsy was going to have a fit when she came in looking like this. Yeah, absurd thought at the moment but a true one.
"What am I doing here?? Thats a good question.... Exactly the one I wanted to ask YOU, husband dearest!!! What exactly are YOU doing here? And why the hell are you hitting vampires with your car? How exactly are you going to explain THAT one to the insurance company??" she finally growled at him, pushing herself up and to her feet.
That was when the shock gave way to anger and fear again. Shaking from the after effects, she glared at him and wanted to kick him.
"YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME!!! IF I HADN"T DIVED OUT OF THE WAY....... DAMN IT MAX!! THAT WAS A HAIRBRAINED IDEA!!! WHAT IF HE HADNT LET GO??? IT WOULD HAVE KILLED ME AND THE BABY BOTH!!!!" she practically screamed into the darkness.
As the words hung on the night air, the blond heard them echo in her head and then she closed her eyes.
Well, hell..... So much for waiting for an appropriate moment to drop THAT bomb. Was there any hope that he wouldn't understand what she'd just said??

As he raced towards her, his heart raced faster than his legs did, seemingly like it was about to burst out of his chest with concern. He had taken a chance, he knew very well that. But the only chance he wasn’t willing to take was to lose her, he didn’t have time to slow down and play it carefully. Luckily it seemed apart from a few scrapes she was alright.
And angry.
The look in her blue eyes caused him to halt to a stop as he approached her and not wrap his arms around her like he desperately wanted to.
But when she spoke, the anger in her eyes became mirrored in his. He didn’t have to ask her to go out and do what he did. He was a hunter for God sakes! She knew that from the start, way before they married. Did she seriously expect him to just sit still while there was a monster out there that had almost sent her to an early grave and do nothing?
“What did you expect Lexi?” he replayed in his anger. “You’re infuriating as always? I’m supposed to stay put and play the good husband while your life is at stake? I don’t want to lose you!”
And then off course she had to glare and start yelling at him for almost hitting her.
“YOU’RE IMPOSSIBLE, YOU KNEW THAT? WHAT THE HELL I WAS SUPPOSED TO? STEP OUT OF THE CAR AND SAY ‘PLEASE MISTER VAMPIRE DON’T HURT HER?’. I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING I WASN’T GOING TO HURT YOU AND…AND….”
He stopped middle sentence, his eyes widening like never before and his mouth hanging open in utter bafflement. Maybe he hadn’t heard that well. Ah hell, she had screamed loud enough, there was no mistaking the word that crossed her lips.
Baby. Holy Hell!
He stammered for words for a moment, but surprise was holding his words back and his heart raced even faster than it had before.
After a long moment, he managed to resume breathing which was a good thing because he was on the verge of passing out and his knees were holding him up weakly.
“You…you…when…how?”
He actually knew the how, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t in shock. Bringing a hand to cover his mouth, he closed his eyes and stumbled back a couple of steps.
“I’m going to be a father?”

Solid white wedding dress And a long white veil We put all our fears to rest And we let this ship set sail I placed the ring on your finger Then you looked at me and smiled The we sealed our love with one last kiss And I walked you up the aisle I´m ready for the next step in love Girl, you´re all that I can think of Isn´t my love good enough I´m ready for the next step in love
Well then.... leave it to the man to ask the obvious.
When? How? It would have been funny if it had been at any other moment in time. The shock and disbelief that washed over Max's face was classic and would have been worth a chuckle or two in the future had she had a video camera. This was definitely not something he'd been prepared for and it was obvious as he got that "deer in the headlights" look about his eyes.
Unfortunately, Lexi wasn't feeling much like laughing at that exact second and she could only sigh and wait for the explosion she was sure to come.
Oh Yeah... Definitely not exactly how she'd planned on blurting that bit of news out. She'd had something more along the lines of a candlelight dinner and an intimate conversation about the birds and the bees. The again.. what was that saying about the best laid plans? It was just her luck that nothing went as it was suppose too.
"Uh.. well, it happened about the normal sort of way...You know.. the whole..."Boy meets Girl" thing. They then have the sort of fun that leads to an "OMG" moment when husband freaks out when he learns he's going to be a father? And then is followed by him freaking out worse six months later as his wife goes into labor?" she drawled dryly before moving forward and eying her husband warily. "Not exactly how I intended to tell you the news but... There you have it."
Tilting her head, she gazed at him a long moment as she watched the emotions flicker across his face.
"Look...... I know you weren't really wanting to a be a father but ... I didn't exactly plan this either. I can't be happier though so I really need you to be Ok with this too." she continued, biting her bottom lip. "I love you and I already love this child.... I've been searching for a way to tell you the last month but....I just haven't been able to find a way that seemed right...."
Just then, a bit of movement from the vampire on the ground gained her attention. It was trying to pull itself up and was obviously far from incapacitated.
"And... Do you think you could maybe... uh..... take care of Mr. Fang there for me?? His smell about made me sick....."

Oh God! Was she going to give him the birds and bees speech?
Max opened his eyes wide and stared at her, not knowing what to do, or say, or even how to react. A child. He was going to be a father. He, the irresponsible one, the one that chased after things most people believed to be just fairy tales. What kind of father he would be? Not a very good one, he figured, probably a lousy one by the way he was freaking out.
This was the one time he truly envied his brother Nicholas, his older brother had been so happy and sure of himself when he had announced he was going to be a father. Like he knew exactly what he was supposed to do to be the best father in the world while just the thought of changing a diaper panicked Max. His brother talked about being a father as it was the most amazing adventure in the world, but then Nick had always been the reliable one, the responsible one while Max…well, he was Max.
When Lexi mentioned the vampire, well that was something he could handle with confidence. He turned away from her and moved to the vampire as he struggled to pull himself up, making short work of finishing him off.
When it was over with, he turned back to Lexi and stepped close to her. Once the initial shock started to wash out of his system he took in her face, those beautiful eyes of her he loved so much, blue eyes he could be lost in forever. But behind of all the warmth in her eyes, he saw an icy cold strength and resolution.
He believed she could accomplish about anything, but the stare in her eyes made him feel almost…as he could as well. With her with him, maybe he wouldn’t be such a terrible father after all. And as he considered it, a smile slowly found its place into his features and a sense of joy that threatened to take over any coherent thought in his mind.
“I’m going to be a father?” he repeated again, his smile turning into a large grin as he moved his arms around her waist, lifted her from the ground and twirled her.
“I’M GOING TO BE A FATHER!...You better not let me mess this child’s head!” Laughter escaped him before he placed her down into the floor and placed a deep kiss into her lips.

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you're far away and dreaming I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Where every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure Don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you baby and I don't wanna miss a thing 'Cause even when I dream of you the sweetest dream would never do I'd still miss you baby and I don't want to miss a thing
There really should be something wrong when the man you loved actually looked relieved to be able to dispatch something back to its maker rather than face you. Lexi supposed that most women might find that amiss but she simply shrugged it off. After all, since when could their lives ever been considered NORMAL, for gods sake?
Talk about Lions and Tigers and Bears. More like Batboys, firebreathing dragons and furry shapeshifters.
Oh no.... Their life was in no way to be considered normal.
While Max dispatched the vampire and did away with the evidence, Lexi moved back to her car and cleaned herself off the best she could. The damage wasn't bad.. just a few scraps here and there, thankfully. Nothing she couldn't live with. By the time she heard her husband approaching again, she had herself firmly pulled back together.
However, before she could say a word, she was being scooped up into his strong arms and twirled around in a crazy circle. Startled laughter escaped her even as she grinned down at him and gave him a playful smack.
"Yes, you silly goof. Your going to be a father." she teased back before giving him a kiss. "In about six months actually... right about christmas time or New Years."
Leaning back, she gave him a fierce look.
"And your going to be a wonderful father so stop that worrying. I have every faith in you so quiet it right now."she continued fiercely. "Or your going to be sleeping on the couch instead of making love to me in our nice comfortable bed when we get home. I dont know about you but... I could now use a nice hot shower to get that bastards smell off me and then a nice cuddle to ward off any lingering nightmares that might crop up!"

It seemed so surreal, Lexi and him were going to be parents in…about six months? Talk about a wave of panic that shot through his body and mixed with the happiness in him.
Max had never pictured himself as a father, even that he had great models in his own father and older brother to follow. But him? He was the incorrigible one, always taking chances, always pushing the boundaries and hopping from one woman after the next… - he froze for a moment – but he had already changed, hadn’t him? There he was now a one woman man, sure he saw the beauty in other women and felt a passing attraction…but the only woman he really wanted to kiss and drag to his bed was Lexi.
Maybe if he did change that way maybe he could also change into a good and responsible father? He had a hunch that with Lexi besides him, he would be able to accomplish anything…even if he was scared as hell.
“Yes ma’am,” he replied to her with a bright smile in him as his eyes met hers. Was he going insane or she had just got even more beautiful than he always believed her to be?
“How about this,” he started still holding her in his arms, “we get back home and you meet me in the shower? Because I don’t think I will have the patience of waiting for you to get that perfect body of yours into bed. Hell, I hardly have the patience to wait for us to get back home, but it would be hard to explain when people start to show up, find the damage on my car and us on the hood of yours…”
There was a teasing smirk in his lips as he placed her back down. In a flash he remembered the time they were stuck in an elevator…well ‘stuck’ meaning he had pressed the emergency stop button so he would have her for him alone.

Dream on, dream on Dream yourself a dream come true Dream on, dream on Dream until your dream come true Dream on, dream on, dream on
Fate was a funny thing. One moment you were living only for yourself and never dreaming that the day might come when someone else's happiness might mean more than your own. The next, well, she left you spinning from the effects of the emotion called love.
Such had been the case with their love affair.
Lexi would never forget the night she'd walked into that Oklahoma City bar in need of just cutting loose. There she'd been at sitting at a corner booth and up strolled this dark haired man with a quick line and a flashy grin. Normally, she wouldn't have been impressed but his charm had been contagious. His eyes had silently challenged her and she'd found herself laughing back. Things seemed to run a normal course that night and she'd let him sweep her back to his place for the most incredible night she'd ever had in her life.
One week later, she was agreeing to another date and it had turned out to be the best move she'd ever made in her life.
Smiling at the memories they'd made, Lexi grinned at his invitation and then stepped away when he let her go. An impish light glittered from her sapphire depths before she danced away and then took off for her car.
"LAST ONE THERE HAS TO WASH THE OTHERS BACK!!!" she shot back in challenge before diving into the car and hitting the ignintion.
SHe had no worries if he was following. Her handsome husband never could resist a challenge and this was DEFINITELY a challenge. As the engine roared to life, she plunged her foot down and the gas and then grinned as she spun a 180 in front of Max's car. Pausing only to give him a little grin and wave, she then took off like a bat out of hell for the house.
"Catch me now, lover!" she thought to herself.

We're gonna be up all night Gonna take you for a ride We're gonna be up all night Get it on 'til the morning light We're gonna be up all night Doing things your dad won't like
Man, there was that glow in her eyes that he loved so much! That challenging tone to her perfect mouth that never failed to make his blood boil with uncontained desire. How was a man supposed to not fall for her?
Max Blair had been the incorrigible playboy, she was a gorgeous blonde in a bar and immediately he knew he had to have her. But he had no idea that he would fall for her in the course of the next week he would fall completely for her. Yeah, fate was a funny thing indeed, it certainly could knock one on his ass when he wasn’t looking.
Call him predictable, but he loved when she challenged him…especially if it was to get him into shower with her.
Running back to his car, he climbed into the driver’s seat and turned on the ignition before taking off after her. There was a grin on his lips as he did so, the adrenalin addicted part of him reveled on that chase as they raced.
His foot hit the brakes slightly when he witnessed her car spin around and she gave him a wave before turning back and running back home again. She was such a show off! And HA! He loved it about her, looked like some of his daredevil ways had rubbed off on her, he thought as he stepped harder into the accelerator and brought his car to pair up with hers. By the way they drove, it didn’t take long before reached their home and he leaped out of his car once it came to a halt and moved to take her off the ground and into his arms.
Who had won anyways? He didn’t really care.
“Looks like you have to wash my back now! But you’re wearing too many clothes for that…I guess we will have to fix that.” There was a laugh in him as he carried her back home with hurried steps.
