Katarina Fosters real father and a vampire. He was turned while working late at a college where he was a professor in folk lore and antique weaponry. A former military man, he was honorablely discharged and took a job teaching where he met Kat's mom.

A few months after she starts working for him, hes attacked and changed into a vampire. That same evening, he attacks Kats mom and barely manages to pull himself away before he kills her. Since then, hes been trying to find a way to live with his new nature and watching Kat from afar.

According to Vincent’s history, Mary Dubois was murdered by the Montegue family, during one particularly nasty ritual involving demons, virgin sacrifices and a whole lot of power. In the beginning, Mr. and Mrs. Montegue had planned on throwing their son to the bloodthirsty thing from Hell, but little Mary Dubois, the love of Vincent’s life, tried to play the hero and save him. For her troubles, her mortal body was torn apart and her soul dragged down to another plane of existence, also known as ‘Hell.’

For the past eighteen years, Mary has been doing her best to adapt to her new found home, managing not to get tortured every day, and learning how to defend herself from the damned souls in the Below. He is one of the people who took the siblings in after their turning and taught them how to find and forage for themselves. Scarred in his own right and with a story he never spoke of, Quin seemed to understand the darkness and anger that lurked inside AJ's soul. There relationship was never easy but the former heir to the Romanov estate learned that his bark was worse than his bit... Most of the time. Her own natural temper caused them to face off more than once but it always lead to something more passionate because she was the only woman who'd ever dared to tell him where he could stick all his growly attitude and need for a pissing contest.

During the world wars, he taught them both how to hide and fight while always remaining in the shadows and never drawing notice to the community as a whole. A strict task master at the best of times, he had a hard ass attitude and a nasty temper that discouraged arguments.

Of course, this only made their relationship more volitale.

Unfortunately, as time went by and Alexi's condition deteriorated, Quin was also the one who told AJ that there would come a time when her brother would have to be destroyed. After one of the boys more horrific escapades, the couple fought and it lead to AJ taking her brother and leaving the safe haven they had found in search of Luka.

Once the High General to the previous King of the Dark Fae, Baden had led soldiers loyal to him against others of royal blood in the political squabbles that followed the Dark King’s disappearance. Given that he was his previous lord’s confidant and knew the ins and outs of Court life, he was- and still is- convinced that he is the right person for the throne. However, in the midst of what was an epic battle between himself and some mamby-pamby upper class Fae, the half-breed Corbin Muunokhoi rode in and slaughtered everyone.

Everyone except him, that is.

He isn’t sure if it’s some kind of trick or for the other Fae’s own amusement, but Corbin has decreed that Baden be an advisor in his new Court, and a general in his army. Ancient Celtic goddess of home and hearth along with seafarers. Nel, as Erik refers to her, blessed the warrior with immortality so that he might be her messenger among the people and to basically tick the goddess, Morrigan, off since the other goddess had been watching over him through out his years as a warchief of his tribe. Setting an elite trap for the warrior, the goddess tricked him into swearing his undying loyalty to her and kepted him leashed to his side for a few hundred years before turning him out into the world to fend for himself.

Last year, she reappeared in his life to call him back to her side after learning he'd fallen in love with a voodoo witch. After several rebellious attempts to break free of his curse, she threatened the woman he loved with death and he gave up the fight in order to save her life. Now, she hovers ever nearby in satisfied contemplation of keeping him under her finger.

Unfortunately, in those days, death and war were ever present and she was unaware of the trap the jealous Nehalennia laid for her warrior. The goddess was furious when she found out the trick the other goddess had pulled on him but was powerless to do anything about it since he'd willingly exchanged his life and honor in exchange for revenge upon the ones who'd destroyed his clan and family.

Talenon is the bastard son of a river Lorelei and a human and was taken from his human mother and society when he entered his teens and his powers started to develop. To avoid scandal he was always called a cousin to the family though his mother had told him a good deal during his childhood the true nature and name of his father, but it was made clear that any revealing it would only bring more trouble to him in the long run.

After arriving he quickly took the role of playmate, guardian and watchkeeper to Sirena, his secret half-sister, and through their years of contact a deep and abiding romantic love sprang up between the pair, even with Rena's madness and Talenon's sane knowledge of the truth. For years they lived in the Lorelei's home without a care in the world, playing their games and living for one another, but Talenon knew that his half-human heritage may cut his life short far beyond hers, and that her madness would never allow her to realize this fact and if he died she may well do the same. With this in mind he left in the dark of the night, promising to return when he could.

Talenon is a smart man, though a bit cynical, and has a bit of a sadistic side though it is much more subtle than Sirena's. His singing voice is surpurb and beyond that of most humans. In the past he would do anything to keep Sirena safe and happy, including denying the truth of his own heritage and hurting or killing those who tried to break her with the truth.
