Enlighten me Reveal my faith Just cut these strings That hold me safe You know my head You know my gaze You'd know my heart If you knew your place I'll walk straight down As far as I can go
The midnight hour... the hour when the worst sort of devils wandered the earth and preyed upon the innocent. The hour in which the things that went bump in the night crawled from their dark holes and lurked in the shadows. The hour that the Shadow unit choose to gather in peace and harmony and do yoga excerises. Yeah, and hell was Disney land and the devil was giving out princess crowns.
From her spot at the front of the "happy" little group, Kat rolled her eyes at some comment Lt. Jordan threw at her about their gear and how he'd really enjoy watching the women model them. The grin he tossed at Lt. Sheppard had her arching a brow and gazing at the pair of clowns with a deceptively cool look.
"Don't worry, Lt. Jordan. If your worried about how it will look on... We can make sure that the lab techs add more padding to make up for any... lack.. on your part."
When the blond haired soldier lost his smile, Kat smirked and turned back to the rest of the room. Might as well get this show on the road, she thought to herself. The newbies in the room were eying everyone while her veteran members were just as obviously scoping them out.
"All right! Listen up! We've got alot of business to go over tonight and plans to make. Ladies and Lucien.. I'd like you to meet the two newest squad additions." she announced, intentionally insulting the two wise asses in the corner. "Lt. Devoux couldn't be here tonight but he will meet them at a later time."
Turning to the two new people, she waved a hand towards them and gave a nod.
"Lt. Kalii Duran and Lt. Ezekial Stone, these fools and wise asses will be your family for the next seven years or until your dieing breath.. whatever comes first."
(OK, leaving this open so anyone can chime in that wants and I wasn't sure who all would join. I assumed these peeps I've mentioned would?)

When Curse was right he was right, surely the guy was very rarely right, but still he had a point. Returning his friend’s grin, John was having a hard time from stopping himself from drooling at Kat’s figure in that black jump suit. And cue those dirty thoughts running around inside his mind.
A laugh escaped his lips at the commander’s playful words towards Jordan. “Come on Kat, why you have to go there and let Curse know just how ‘inadequate’ he is? He will end with all the padding in the state to make him feel like he can fit in with the rest of the guys in the group, poor bastard.”
Contrary to popular belief, John did have a list of goals and wasn’t just going by the seat of his pants. His main goals were:
Get into Kat’s pants Kick some ass Get drunk and party hard Make fun of Curse
Alright, this was the rough draft of it but at least he could already say he had some goals in life besides leaving a good looking corpse behind. Ah crap, who was he trying to fool? He was flying by the seat of his pants, but he wouldn’t pass up anything on that list.
His laughing ceased when the commander called him a lady though.
“Hey!” he opposed when the words registered. “Who you’re calling ladies? If you’d only let me show you otherwise…you over that silly rule of not doing the tango with any of your soldiers?”
And there was new arrivals to the team, the brunette called Kalii and the big guy who seemed either moody all the time or just really constipated and the Jasper guy who he was clueless about. Maybe he and Lucien were related? But that Kalii girl had a nice set of…wait, what is that look on Curse’s face? He was definitively drooling over the girl….John made a mental note to raze him mercilessly about it later.
Sure his friend knew he was drooling over Kat himself, but like that would stop him from being an ass.

Great, it was like being a kid in the first day of a new school being introduced to the class. And what a bunch of mismatched amateurs they seemed to be. No sense of hierarchy, cracking stupid smartass comments at the commander and making sex innuendos. Just his luck being sent to fly for a bunch of clowns.
Maybe Ezekiel shouldn’t really complain, after all this may be less painful than the electric chair…just maybe.
Oh alright, he’d admit it, after being locked up for half a year in a cell he had been leering at the women in this team as well. Did all of them just have to look like freaking super models, didn’t them?
So to prevent himself from showing off his predicament and risk his eyes fall over its orbits while ogling the women, Zeke had stayed around the clock tinkering with his new bird. He surely would be able to do some damage with that, help him take of the steam into what those guys called the enemy.
Not to mention he’d like to see how those enhancements they’d done on him worked out on the field.
The only taste he had of it so far was when that stupid bureaucrat told him of the bomb they’d put inside his chest that would blow up if he didn’t comply. He’d break the handcuffs holding him back and played a number on that guy before they’d shoot darts on his ass to knock him down.
Ok, people are staring at him. Just nod, that’s it and expect they don’t care much to start babbling and asking questions.

My first kiss went a little like this [*kiss*] and twist [*kiss* *kiss*] and twist In the back of the car On the way to the bar I got you on my lips (I got you on my lips) At the foot of the stairs with my fingers in your hair, baby this is it...
Ooh, now wasn’t this a meeting that could have a girl all hot and bothered in less than thirty seconds? Just three other women and a room full of pretty faces. Damn, just give her a can of whipped cream and some seedy bow-chica-bow-bow music, and she’d be set for the next few hours.
Leaning back against a wall off to the side of the room, Rae couldn’t help but scan the gathered crowd with amusement. Most of the faces were familiar, save the annoyingly professional looking woman up front and some bearded guy with a woman’s eyes. Good God, the new girl looked like she had a stick shoved so far up her ass, she’d fit in nicely with the other stiff-backed beaurocrats. And as for the other guy- not the bald one playing with his new toy; that one she could write off as ‘alright…’ so far, that is- REALLY now. Look at those eyelashes! And the sweep of his hair! Just add in some makeup and he’d be hotter than her!
Not cool, man. Definitely not cool. What were their names? Kalii and Jasper? On her watch list, man. If it wasn’t for Lucien glaring at her from across the room, she’d be making some ‘I’m watching you’ hand movements in their direction.
She really, REALLY hated new faces. They were unknowns; untested only by the Commander herself…which, in all honesty, should have been enough given that hard ass attitude of hers. Kat wasn’t exactly lenient in the mofo department- hell, she kicked her ass more than once, which is saying a lot…huzzah, ego- so these two had to have some kinds of cahones to make the cut.
But did any of that matter, when it came to who she wanted at her back? Hell FUCKIN’ no, man! Tough guys were one thing, but when it came to getting out in the field and earning her trust? It’d take more than ‘I’m Katarina Foster, and I approve these schmucks’ to make her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Ooh, how she just wanted to get the hell out of Dodge and go back to her old mercenary life! When she got to choose the missions, killed who the hell she wanted to kill, never got yelled at for making the raw recruits drown in their own bodily fluids…
Ah man, the crosses that she had to bear. But wait, what was that about extra padding? Her mind immediately swiveling from mental roaring to the image of curse with a tent in his pants made of Kevlar instead of other more entertaining things had her dissolving into laughter.
“Extra padding! HA, I like that! Maybe we can fit some extra ammo in there? Use him as an inflateable getaway raft? HEE!”
Still snickering as the Commander made her introductions, she couldn’t help but eye the newcomers with her normal predatory intensity. Fresh meat, she thought with both giddy amusement and a tension in her gut.
Now, who should she offer support, and who would she use as a human shield? “Hey, when can we take them on a test drive, Commander?” She couldn’t help but call out, brow quirking and grin widening. “I’m just DYIN’ to see what these newbies are capable of.”

Her eyes wandered the room eying each one of her team mates, Willow's mind slipping into why a meeting was being held.... Willow was always ready for another mission especially if it was taking out werewolves she had always hated them since her loved one got killed.
There were three faces to her that were unfamiliar...newbies perhaps? Hmm...what did they specialize in? She of course was the computer hack...nothing that was electronic stands a chance around her. On her little off time she had Willow took apart cellphones and computers to make her own gadgets from scratch.
Of course when Kat responded to Curse's wisecrack she had to giggle a little bit on the inside. Even when John and Curse do there M.O.
She had to laugh they always know how to lighten any situation up. Kinda helped crack the seriousness thing...When Kat went on to say what the meeting was about she tried to block out the extra noise in the room.
The unfamiliar faces were indeed new...Lt. Kalii Duran , Lt. Ezekial Stone and Lt. Jasper Owens....What was with all the lieutenants? Man did Willow wish she wasn't the only Sergeant..two of them were younger than her and they still outranked her...Boy did she wish she had never left...
Her eyes glanced to her PDA..she was working on a new way to hack into new technology that was coming out...the newer tech is the harder it was to crack...
So she had to keep up with it...so far the codes she were making seemed to work but she had to test them out more. Hmm, maybe the newbies had an Ipad so she could test the hack codes out on?
Willow looked over at Rae man she was going to ride on these new people hard...Just like she had done to her when she joined....Gradually it died down and she hoped she trusted her.
Willow really tried hard no to laugh at her comments Rae really did have a different personality you REALLY have to get used too. But Willow nodded her head respectfully to the new people she couldn't wait to see what got them on the team.

Be a hero Kill your ego It doesn't matter it's all just a pack of lies Build a new base Steal a new face So...this was it. The squad itself was small, but as Jasper knew from experience, that didn't mean much. A platoon or battalion could easy be toppled by a small squad, if the right soldiers were present. In war, quantity helped, but there was always something to be said of quality as well. And from the looks of it, this squad had plenty of quality. Though it was always said that you couldn't judge a book by its cover, Jasper always trusted his instincts in a situation; they'd never led him astray before. And the people there, both the senior members and the new recruits like him, had that air of wisdom. They always held themselves aloft, and despite the joking that was going on, he could feel the internal tension that most hardened soldiers held on to. He was definitely curious to see how the internal hierarchy of the squad was going to function. After all, everyone here probably had a unique niche that they filled, a talent or specialty that made them crucial to the squad. Personally, his area was pretty much versatile, angling towards reconnaissance, extraction and retrieval, with some experience in subterfuge and guerrilla-type warfare. And then of course he was always known for maneuvering himself out of sticky situations... Nevertheless, he was here now, and currently being stared out. Despite the small talk going on between most of the senior members, Jasper could feel several pairs of eyes on him, most like scoping him out or trying to get a feel. It was definitely nice to know he wasn't the only one receiving that treatment of stares. They were two other new recruits standing next to him, Lt. Stone and Lt. Duran. Stone looked like most hardcore military types, maybe with a bit of a mercenary vibe thrown in. Duran was a bit different, being a girl, but had a sense of toughness about her that made him weary; she definitely wasn't one to be underestimated. The various faces around the room were similar. It was nice though to see a few women on the squad; women had a bad reputation of being weak and too emotional, but they had other strengths that made them valuable. Back in his Navy SEAL unit, one of the most crucial, hard-ass members had been a women. One of the women caught his eye, simply because of her bravado. A test drive, huh? Something told Jasper that she was probably going to be the insubordinate one here. "Oh, I think we're quite capable of proving ourselves," he answered her, the challenge evident in his playful tone. He was a good soldier, but staying quiet had never been his thing. This was definitely going to be interesting.

I see the bad moon arising. I see trouble on the way. I see earthquakes and lightnin'. I see bad times today.
Kalii stayed quiet mostly for the moment, though she couldn't help but smirk a little when Curse made a snarky comment and the good natured barbs started flying around. But, she kept her mouth shut while the commander spoke and introduced them. Not because she was shy, but because she was new and needed to assess the situation. There were two other newbs there with her. A dark haired guy who seemed to be assessing everything, Lt. Jasper Owens. Then the bald headed guy who wasn't saying anything either and looked a little bit crazed in the eyes, Lt. Ezekial Stone.
Kalii nodded when the commander pointed her out. After the introduction she moved and stood on one side of the aforementioned, Lt. Curse Jordan, as he was the only one in the place besides the commander she had actually met. At least one possible ally in a room of unknowns right now.
Taking in the rest of the group she tried to pick up the names if they were mentioned but most of them were not. There was another dark haired man. The one that had joked with Curse, that one seemed to have a thing for the commander and he made no bones about it. That was interesting.
Then there was the short haired brunette female. That one seemed to have a bit of that crazy gleam in her eye as well. Well... It wasn't surprising to Kalii. A team of this nature, she knew some of them had merc backgrounds. This team wasn't for making nice. So, a little bit crazy was always part of the deal. Kalii smirked at the girls comments and inwardly welcomed the challenge. Kalii was no fool, she knew she had to prove her worth on a new squad. She was looking forward to it.
Another one of the veterans, a short haired blond woman. She was quiet too. She actually seemed engrossed in something. It looked like a blackberry or some kind of technical gadget or something. Gotta be the techno expert she figured, there was always at least one in a unit like this.
Kalii folded her arms across her chest and grinned when Lt. Owens chimed in. Saying what she was thinking. She was itching to prove herself. All she asked for was that they give her the chance, she had no doubt that she could handle anything they threw at her. ((*smirks* Kalii does NOT have a stick shoved up her ass. She's a newbie and is keeping her mouth shut.))

You should know that the lies won't hide your flaws No sense in hiding all of yours You gave up on your dreams along the way, yeah Good god, you're comin up with reasons Good god, you're draggin it out And good god, it's the changin of the seasons I feel so right so follow me down and just Fake it, if you're out of direction Fake it, if you don't belong, yeah Fake it, if you feel like infection Whoa, you're such a fuckin hypocrite Boy howdy, if this wasn't a room of misfits... Kat didn't know what it was. She had everything ranging from playboy comedians to a dude that looked like he'd gladly rip everyones head off and feed it down their exposed throats for lunch. Why had she signed on for this gig again? Oh, right... To save a world full of ungrateful ass from the bogeyman. To bad there were more bogeymen in the world than they ever freaking dreamed.
Shaking her head at the comments all flying around the room, Kat held up a hand that instantly signaled for quiet and gave them a stern look.
"All right, children. Let's act like the trained professionals we are, shall we? Lets not give our new comrades the indication we are all a bunch of backwater groupies that think finesse is slap a girl on the ass and ask if she'd like a ride in your truck."
Of course, the last comment was angled at the two vetran members parked in chairs on the right side of the room. Curse was grinning wickedly at Lt. Duran and Lt. Sheppard was still eying her own form like she was a piece of edible candy with his name on it. That thought made her shiver but she suppressed it .. HARD.
"Now that introductions are out of the way, we need to discuss the next mission. Intell has been coming in about a gathering of unique creatures that we haven't encountered before... Who here knows anything about wraith demons?" she drawled out before passing around pictures of the creatures in question.
As she waited for responses, Kat turned and went back to the table in the front of the room. Dressed in camo fatigues and with her long red haired pulled back in a twist, she looked very young to be in such a lead position. But if there was one thing she'd learned over the years it was that looks could be deceiving.

Firefly Could you shine your light Now I know your ways 'cause they're just like mine Now I'm justified As I fall in line And it's hard to try When you're open wide
With a sigh and a shake of his head, Lucien watched as his friend proceeded to poke at the slumbering monsters, so obviously waiting for a taste of a Team Shadow challenge. The woman just had no sense, no understanding of the world 'preservation.' For all she knew, there was another person in the group that could kick her ass two weeks from Friday.
...Which would, inevitably, end up killing the woman's ego, and leaving him to pick up the Ben & Jerries cartons, as he'd had to with the 'Kat Incident.' Du, how he ever got mixed up in all of this was beyond him.
He'd been measurably content in the Romani Army, gorilla warfare or no. He'd had his little tent in Officer's Camp, the quiet of the mountains, the other soldiers gave him plenty of room when he was out and about. It was war, but it was also peaceful. He had no friends, no comrads to worry about; death was just...yet another enemy lurking in the underbrush. The less one thought about it, the less they were likely to do something stupid and get shot.
But here...HERE, it was different. These Americans, with their 'buddy' system and utter love of everything war. It was just like in those cowboy movies he'd seen as a boy; the eager young gunslinger who rides off into the sunset, actually thinking that the lives he'd taken would do some good. If he had learned anything in his time in the military, it was that killing just added a carcass to the earth. Nothing more and nothing less.
Oh, how he wanted to take some of the smiling faces, the FLIRTING bodies, and smack some sense into them. Great idea; let's fall in love, or become emotionally tied with someone in the unit, whom they could watch die horrible deaths in the near future. Or, perhaps, who might defect, if the other side was offering enough. Lucien shook his head, half disgusted with the operation that he'd found himself in.
Just let him go back to his little room in the compound, away from everyone else. All of this show and tell was grating on a man's patience.
Silently, he took one of the packets passed out by the Commander. He'd smirked when being included as the only male in the room, but all such humor quickly died away as he looked down at the information in his hand. Wraith demons?
"Strigoi?" He couldn't help but speak up, brows furrowing as he scanned the pages. He really should be hardened to surprise by now, given the nature of his new unit...but c'mon now. Evil spirits? "There are many stories about them in Romanian myth. They are evil spirits who rise from the grave to torment those around them. They can be called by A strigoaic¨£, a witch, and controlled. In my country, the only way to get rid of a strigoi is by fire."
--- ((I'll keep that in mind, dahling. In the roleplay, because Rae doesn't know Kalii, that's how she sees her. It's got nothin to do with me.))

The time to hesitate is through No time to wallow in the mire Try now we can only lose And our love become a funeral pyre Come on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire, yeah
What talkative friendly bunch aren’t they? There was something really twisted about it when Lucien was the one doing most of the talking in the room besides the commander.
But truth be told, the whole drooling at Kat’s business aside, John was just as curious as the next team member to know how the rookies would work on the field under pressure. To see if they would make it or break it, because he wasn’t in the mood to play babysitter to some wussy when he could be kicking some evil rear end…or blowing it to bits.
Taking the pictures Kat passed his way, he raised a brow. “There is a face only a mother can love. Probably Lucien’s relatives, they have that same happy go lucky faces,” he muttered softly. Demons, vampires, weres…what was the difference? They’d all bite the dust in the end. They were the ones the boogeyman should be afraid off.
“Fire, huh?” he said out loud replying to Lucien’s comment. “I can throw in some well placed firebombs and it would do a surgical sweep of the place, take down their ugly butts before they even know what is going on.”
Off course he’d just love to burn everything in a ten mile radius and roast some marshmallows while he watched the whole place burn to the ground and share ghost stories. But he was also expecting for the commander to go ahead with her usual talk of that being too risky for the civilians and all that crap. Such a ball buster that lady, she hardly ever allowed him to just blow everything in sight. Sometimes this covert operations thing was such a pain!
But off course he would be sneaking a few explosives in regardless she’d say yes or no, having some fireworks under his sleeve was always handy.
“Either that or just give me a flamethrower Kat. Yeah, that could be fun.”
Why was that he had that old Doors song on his mind? Come on baby, light my fire?

Whichever path I travelled It lay distant in oblivion Fled out of whispering winds To where voices slay A cobweb of jagged sulfur Envenomed my benumbed senses Fled into shimmering doubts Where sanity is slain
Luckily all of them seemed more interested in getting this show on the road than throwing a freaking tea party, good.
And who was to say that instead of rotting in a cell he would be now getting ready to fight demons? Ah well, he wouldn’t rot for long before they’d fry his ass anyway. But it seemed like soon enough he would be seeing if this bunch of misfits was any worth in combat. There had to be some unique sort of crazed individuals to be fighting things like demons, good, at least he wouldn’t be the only psycho in the bunch.
His new bird had enough weapons to level up a large place if this team couldn’t do their job, unfortunately he didn’t think the guys with access to the button that would blow him up would be happy if he’d level one of these soldiers along with the place.
It was his first time with the whole covert ops thing. When he was flying for the military before, they’d always went hard and heavy. Shoot first and ask questions later and let God sort them out. And that applied as well to when he’d take the fighting to the ground, it usually got nasty and messy.
And then there was this guy talking about incendiary bombs. Was he the team’s explosion experts? He didn’t see like he should be trusted with even a match, let alone explosives, but he would keep an eye for this guy, maybe he could be the ticket to remove that stupid bomb the docs had left inside him.
“How we go about this?” his rough voice cut through the little silence that followed. “I’m supposed just to give you guys a ride commander, or I’m going to take part in the action? Maybe some Molotov cocktails on those nasties would do the trick? Less structure damage that way.”

Beyond the boundaries of your city's lights, Stand the heroes waiting for your cries. So many times you did not bring this on yourself, When that moment finally comes, I'll be there to help. On that day when you need your brothers and sisters to care, I'll be right here. Citizen soldiers holding the light for the ones that we guide from the dark of despair. Standing on guard for the ones that we sheltered, We'll always be ready because we will always be there. Man, talk about a room filled with attitudes. Damn, made a man wanna hollar "WHO WANTS TO GET DRUNK AND BE SOMEBODY?". These people seriously needed to lighten up and quit taking life so seriously. No one got out alive anyways.
Kicking his feet up on the chair in front of him, Lt. Curse Jordan entwined his fingers and propped his hands across his ripped stomach. His posture could have been considered insolent but it was just his normal pose. Never one to stand on ceremony or do things in the "politically correct" way, the former seal had made a rep for himself as a wild card who took chances that sane men wouldn't in the face of the impossible.
Hence his assignment to the "SPECIAL" team.
Yeah, they were special all right. All certifiably insane and in need of more psychiatric help than Charles Manson. Well, ok, so that might be a bit far since none of them had gone off the deep end and mass murdered innocents. Nah, they just confined themselves to those who needed killing to get their jollies off.
Weren't they just the good Samaritans?
And people wondered why he took to woman like a child to candy. It was the only way he could keep his own inner beast in check. The berserker within needed action and adrenaline to pacify it, be it sex or combat. The harder and faster... The better it liked it.
Oh yeah, he was just boy next door, right? Ye Freaking Haw. Sign him up for mission impossible boys cause he was ready to roll. There was no way in hell he'd be able to function outside this military life so he might as well roll with it. Better than spending the rest of his life tranq'ed out.
Turning his attention back to his surroundings, Curse heard the commander introduce the newbies and smirked. The dark haired hellion he'd been lucky enough to run into earlier in the compound gym. To bad she was on the team He'd been hoping for a little one on one but it looked like that was out of the question now. It was a ugly truth but Kat would have his ass for even thinking the thoughts he'd been having about those long limbs. It was an unspoken rule that there was to be no sleeping with other members of the team in any shape or fashion.
Then again, some rules were just made to be broken as Bullseye so elegantly put it. With any luck, his friend would succed in his own endeavors to bed the fiery red head and then Curse would be free to pursue the new girl.
A man could always dream, right?
Hell, he'd try to bed the Commander himself if he thought it would work but John had clearly pegged her for himself and a man just didn't poach on his buddy's territory. Not to mention the fact that the last time he'd actually made a play he'd gotten nailed teacup over kettle into the gym floor. Man, the woman didn't play around when it came to getting her point across. Just the thought of it had Curse rubbing the back of his head. Yeah, much easier to let John take the hits.
As the files came around, the sandy haired seal took his and flipped through it. He chuckled at Johns words and then nodded to Lucien. His own thoughts immediately began to race and he frowned.
"Dude... Wraith demons... Aren't they the spirits of angry departed come back to reek vengence? If so... That means that someone has to be summoning them, right?"

Don't go around tonight, Well, it's bound to take your life, There's a bad moon on the rise.
Kalii was glad when the introductions were over and the Commander jumped into the mission briefing. Sliding into a chair at the table she leafed through the information that Kat had handed out. Her first mission and they had to be some vengeful spirit monsters. They sure looked nasty. She was used to that though.
Kalii glanced over and could see Lt. Jordan giving her a look. She wondered what was on his mind besides the mission. There seemed to be some kind of attraction there but, apparently in the current circumstances, things were a little complicated. Rolling her eyes at him she went back to studying the file in front of her.
After a few moments, she raised her head up from the file. She looked around and listened as the others made their comments. Paying attention to what they had to say. The one called Lucien mentioned that fire was the way to destroy the things. Kalii couldn't help but smirk as the next guy chimed in about fire bombs. That had to be Lt. John Sheppard, the one Lt. Jordan had mentioned when they had met earlier.
Kalii turned to look at Curse when he brought up the fact that the Wraith demons were probably summoned by someone. Kalii nodded as she thought about that. That just meant there was another target added to the mix. They also needed to take out whatever was unleashing these things. "Yeah... is there any intel on that aspect? Who could be calling these Wraith out? It would have to be someone or something pretty damn powerful. Still... in the meantime. I think I'm with Lt. Sheppard on this one. Load me up with a flamethrower and some napalm. I'll be good to go with that." Kalii gave a glance over at the Commander and then shrugged. Not sure if it was her place to speak up at this point. She didn't care though, she might be new to the unit, but she wasn't new to fighting the supernatural fight.
Closing the folder she sat back in her chair. Leaning back so she could see everyone in the room. She crossed her arms in front of her and waited to see what the plan of action was going to be. Just give her a direction to go in. She was ready to get into the action.

Once the seniors of the team were introduced to the fresh meat of the team. The silent inspection happened, trying to size up the newbies and of course the scrutiny of Rae. She was more open to her opinions. Something Willow admired.
However Willow preferred to keep her mouth shut unless something really irked her. If that happened be warned months of frustration will come out with it.
One of the newbies said something back to Rae in a joking tone but the small woman cringed...trend carefully when you are new...any comment can be taken the wrong way. They shall all see what got them on this time and Willow couldn't wait to see.
The commander was shaking her head at the comments being said then a signal to be silent was flashed. Course the room did settle down a bit.
Shaking her head at the comments all flying around the room, Kat held up a hand that instantly signaled for quiet and gave them a stern look. Giving the to smart alecs on the team who were actually friendly with comrades.
Next was the mission qt hand, Willow perked up and put away her toy..that could wait. Reaching out on the table to get a nice informative packet. They were wraith demons and oh boy were they ugly pieces of work. She had heard things about them before...little bits and pieces though.
Cracking her neck before listening to the others have there word in. Apparently these things can be killed which was really good. But the really big question is who the hell was summoning these puppies....and why.
They really shouldn't go gun ho on the fire stuff...especially flamethrowers...those things could back fire on you in a second. They should lure them into a spot and let the flames take care of them.
“ I think Curse is on the right track....Maybe the summoners have control over them,” Willow said as she ruffled her hair. ( OOC: I hope this is okay. I'll spell check it after I get some rest.))

Do you live, do you die, do you bleed For the fantasy In your mind, through your eyes, do you see It's the fantasy Automatic, I imagine, I believe
Well, this was certainly going to be interesting. He could already get a feel for the dynmaic of the group; everyone here was a like a superstar in their own right, the best of the best from their own distinctive unit. Which, in most cases, made them smart-asses, Jasper included. Go figure. Luckily their Commander, Foster, took charge of the situation and brought them all back to the task at hand. Something told Jasper she was going to have to step in to keep them under control often. After they settled, Foster began passing out copies of the mission briefing, about their target. Eager to get this party rolling, he switched his attention to the paper. And then of course, his jaw almost dropped. Oh shit. He'd known that this squad dealt with, well, the stranger cases and missions. But, of course, he hadn't known the full depth of that vague description. This was a secret, covert ops group after all; it wouldn't be very secret if he'd known what they did, now would it? So of course this pronbably meant that Jasper was in over his head...way over his head. Trust Fate to stick the person that wanted to be normal, but wasn't for the most part, in an op that dealth with everything abnormal. Well, he certainly wasn't going to be sending Fate any thank-you cards anytime soon! Biting down on his tongue, Jasper mulled over speaking out. "If wraiths are spectral, then fire probably won't do much damage." Okay, the option to speak won out. Though he'd tried to keep his head in the clouds his entire childhood, that diddn't mean Jasper didn't know a thing or two, at least subconsciously. His sister, obssessed with their "gifts", had always dragged him around when they were younger, trying to pull him back into her world. And of course, her world was everything he tried to ignore. She loved the supernatural, and had buried herself in rituals and writings about it. Over time, she'd basically become an expert. Jasper was bound to pick up a few sprigs of knowledge over the years. "I think Lt. Jordan is on the right track too," he added, agreeing with the blond that had just ruffled her hair. "Most spectral beings are attached to this world by some kind of earthly anchor, and people can be that anchor. It would take some serious magic to control a demonic spirit, so if anyone's summoning it, they most likely know what they're doing." A grim expression had washed oper his features. So much for normal.
